[Kei was calmly walking in the street. He wasn't exactly caring much about his surroundings, but as the natural observer he was, he couldn't help to see that really suspicious silhouette just staring at the manhole]

[Okay, that was definitely not normal, could he be working there?] [But if he was, why so early in the morning?]

[... Sewers usually were the weakest spot in all cities structures. Many books and novels proved that much... Could that person want to leave the city?]

[... Maybe he was a spy.]

[Kei walked towards a nearby corner, where he hid part of his body and continued to observe] [As Nezumi took the grind, Kei frowned] [That was some lousy spy to make that much noise]

[Brushing off his hands, Nezumi straightens himself up and sticks his hands into the pockets of his jacket. Leaning his weight on one leg, he inclines his head slightly to one side.]

Planning on following me, or just standing around like a fool all day?

[Oh damn, was discovered]

Actually, I am still deciding. [Maybe he wasn't such a bad spy, he indeed managed to notice Kei's presence]

It depends on your reason to go inside a manhole. [Walks out of his corner and crosses his arms, looking calm and collected and in his head he thinks he looks sort of cool]

[Nezumi turns his head back to stare down at the inky black darkness inside the manhole. They weren't as large and spacious as the ones No. 6 could afford to abuse, but that wasn't really a surprise. Actually, it was almost affirming in a pleasant sort of way. Enough to make Nezumi grin slightly, at least. Given the number of similarities he'd been able to draw between this place and that parasite of a city, it was almost a relief to find something - anything - a little different.

But for now he had more pressing matters. Like a sudden tagalong he hadn't counted on.]

Oh, I highly doubt my reasons would be of any interest to you.

[Eve was on her way to get groceries when she saw that strange man crouching on the street.

She watched, curious as he pulled the manhole cover up, before approaching. She didn't bother too much to hide the sound of her footsteps as she approached.

When she was close enough, she'll crouch down and stare inquisitively.]

[Nezumi dug around in his pocket, before pulling out a smooth, flat pebble and holding it out over the uncovered hole. His hand hovered for a moment, before opening and letting the pebble drop into the darkness below.

There was silence for a few seconds, followed by a unmistakable splash as it hit water. Deep, but not too deep... If there wasn't a ladder, he'd have to find something to get him down there though.

Depth ascertained, he let his eyes slide sideways to the young girl crouched next to him, watching his every move.]

[Nezumi straightens, brushing dirt off his trousers and sticking his hands in his pockets.]

Nothing that concerns you.

A wild creeper approaches

[Kumagawa heard a fairly loud clang while on the way to try and get more supplies and so he decided to investigate first. Upon arriving, he spotted a group of people around an opened manhole. He walked casually towards the group to also take a look at the hole.]
