Location: Dorsia, then en route back to Casualty Communal.

Time: 22nd December - Early evening.
Description: Having just got off work, Serge heads home.

Leo had taken off from his job at the pet store early since there was still something he needed to get and had been heading towards the Dorsia since then. They should still be open, right? The half-lion just hoped that they sold gift certificates like he needed one. It was his last guess for a possible christmas present for Yako and as far as he remembered girls were always pretty hung up about things like that (and she had hinted that she might get something for him, which just screamed trouble in the long run).

Seeing Serge go out of the door, he cursed, assuming that he had managed to just miss closing time.

Serge heard Leo's voice before he saw him. He cringed a little at the profanity, but decided against commenting on it, having come to accept that such things were commonplace in this city. He looked over to spot a face that he recognised, then turned and took a few steps in Leo's direction to face him more directly.

"Something wrong?"

Leo stopped and blinked foolishly at Serge for a moment, trying to connect the dots and remember why he felt like he had seen Serge before. Drawing a blank, he shrugged and stuffed his hands in his pockets.

"Not really, I was just hopin' tha caught the restaurant while it's still open. I need a present for a girl and hell if I have a clue what besides somethin' to eat." Asking for help like that wasn't cool at all, but he'd rather make himself a fool in front of a stranger than try to explain why he got only Yako no present. Stupid customs... !

"It'll be open for another few hours yet." Serge turned his head slightly towards the main door as he spoke. He wasn't sure exactly how to respond to the Gift comment, girls weren't exactly his area of expertise either (and that thought certainly didn't lead his mind to what happened to him last Christmas, not at all), but for what it's worth... "I think you have the right idea, a romantic meal seems as good a present as any," he said with a small but encouraging smile.
