"Run!" The command wasn't necessary, but he said it anyway in a strike of habit as he pulled the trigger, his Meister ability enhancing the trickle of water into short barely visible streaks as they hit the kishin egg at high speed. It was a last ditch effort to get the kishin eggs attention, but it still left him stumbling and reeling for a moment. Gritting his teeth, he smirked at Tifa. "A Keikain Onmyouji doesn't run as long as there's still a way to win the battle. Change already."

She wished they had more than a moment. She'd never transformed before; hell, she didn't even know what weapon she might be. But now was not the time to hesitate or bring up these concerns to the smirking man beside her. She just had to concentrate. Hearing the kishin approaching and feeling the desperation to fight it combined to help her transform, and beside Ryuuji now lay a large glove, oddly shaped and bright blue in color, almost like a strange boxing glove.

That wasn't enough to override its need to attempt to kill them both, however. It was preparing to charge again.

Seeing the kishin egg approach Ryuuji tsk-ed and quickly removed one of his gloves so that he could replace it with the Weapon. The glove felt like it wasn't fitting quite right and he felt clumsy with it but he faced the enemy anyway, teeth bared into a smug grin. "You don't know how much I regret having to do this."

You feel it, right? You know how to attack once we're like this?
She hoped she was right, that the information on how to use a glove like herself would just be transferred through their connection. He didn't fight with his fists, of course she could tell that. But if they could just make it work enough to get through this fight...

That was a lie as it was the first time that Ryuuji had to deal with a thing like the approaching kishin egg but he had a notion that it would be better if they remained as confident as they could.
Seeing the kishin egg rushing at them he forced himself to spent important second making sure his wide sleeve wouldn't get in the the way. Waiting until the very last moment, he dove to the side, swinging his glove-armed fist towards the kishin egg's face with all his might. Aiming for the vulnerable parts like this was risky enough to be just stupid when one had a secure aim what Ryuuji hadn't at the moment, but hell, his ruses hadn't been as effective as he had hoped and this last-ditch attempt on a lucky hit was all they could do to survive this fight.

"Looks like this one didn't do it either. Sorry, Miss, but you better hold steady."
Then he charged at the creature, weapon raised, despite knowing better than that.
(ooc: Sorry, but do you guys mind if we wrap this up? I'm running out of steam and ideas here. TAT; )

It should be easy to take care of it now.

Then he collapsed with a gasp next to it, fighting off the feeling that his head might burst at any moments notice and that the world was spinning like crazy. How damn disgraceful-!

Well. Her first battle here, and it hadn't gone too badly. Neither her nor Ryuuji seemed too badly injured, and they had taken down the creature. Wiping sweat off her forehead with the back of her wrist, she looked over at him and gave a little nod, "Not bad."
