Yukina has taken to walking through the city as she got used to this new world. She was determined to discover as much as she could about it, and changed her route every few days.

Today, as she wandered past a group of trees, she spotted a dark-haired figure about her own height. Recognizing him, Yukina waved and called out, "Hiei-san! I didn't expect to see you here."

Luckily for Hiei, Yukina was probably the only demon alive who would still fall for the "oh I was just passing by" routine.

"Yukina." His usual acknowledgement, and a nod, face belying the completely not-innocent at all fact that he was here. He waits until he's closer, though, to initiate some sort of conversation - "Is this where you usually walk?"

It was funny that they had similar behaviors in that way, actually, as Hiei himself had taken to a few intrepid walks around Death City on the hunt for sweets while mapping the place out for himself in his mind, making it that much easier to know where people were going and when. He'd even begun to note job patterns on some people, but that could be chalked up to damn near paranoia over other people.

"Oh, I walk all over the city. I don't have really have a set place to go to, after all," she replied, shaking her head slightly. She smiled at him, and made a vague gesture with one hand.

"Were you out on a walk, too, Hiei-san?"

His brows raise a little, but sink back down again in a movement that's almost imperceptible. He's mostly surprised he hasn't really accidentally walked past her before, but then again he shouldn't be too shocked. At their size it's pretty easy to just sort of miss him or her in a crowd if you aren't paying attention. He nods, though, in answer to her question, looking thoughtful.

"There's really no better way to be more acquainted with the city." That, and, he's out to prove to Kurama that he doesn't need to wear a damn jacket. And then, maybe to distract from the fact that he might not have shown up as randomly as he made it appear, he looks back up at the trees. "The colder weather must feel more like your home to you."
