Yuna showed up right on time, knocking on the door. She was a little nervous about meeting Paine again, especially given the circumstances, but she was kind of excited too.

"Rikku! It's me, I'm coming in!"

And then she just pushed the door open and let herself inside.

Paine was nervous. She didn't look it on the outside, but she was, and being nervous made her frustrated. Ever since Rikku asked her over, the silver-haired teenager had been trying to work out the best approach for something like this. No one expects to meet the younger versions of her best friends who didn't remember the missions they'd shared that had made them so close. Paine hadn't been pacing, but it was the mental equivalent.

Because she and Rikku were neighbors, Paine waited until she heard Yuna's arrival before stepping into the hallway to cross that little space to Rikku's door. Unlike Yuna who was only a minute ahead of her, Paine knocked.

"Door's open!"

When Yuna had come in, Rin had scurried under the sofa, so Rikku was trying to coax her kitten out. "And get me a thing of jerky from the cabinet, someone. Maybe that'll get him out."

"Sure, okay."

She walked into the kitchen, grabbing the appropriate container before heading back toward Rikku only to hear a knock at the door. She handed the object to her cousin before heading to answer it, pulling it open smoothly.

"Hello?"
