Chris heard her immediately, and it sent a panic through him. He had just come straight out of the shower, quickly threw on some clothes and nearly tripped over himself as he ran to the door, toweling his hand in the process.

He flung it open, staring at her wide-eyed, "What? What is it?? You found out for sure?!"

"I talked to him!" she yelled, before shutting her mouth immediately. Chie craned her neck to take a peek behind her, making sure that nobody was watching. She was satisfied, but she lowered her tone regardless, just to be safe. "But it's top-secret."

"Top secret. Gotcha," Chris nodded in understanding. Though chances were by the end of the night, it wouldn't be top secret anymore. He shut the door behind her, ushering her inside and toward the nearest set of chairs.

"So what happened?"

She rushed in as prompted, murmuring her thanks and taking a seat in his chair. The explanation came in a frenzied, excited rush.

"He admitted that he was a cyborg. Professorbot, Version 4. And he said that he was Three-Laws tested and approved. And he showed me his lightning lasers, like this!" Chie held one hand out, and wiggled her fingers over it in a pseudo-lightning motion, complete with sound effects.
