Characters:Ahiru (would_be_knight) and Fakir (wings_of_hope) Location: Their apartment in DCH Rating: G Time: December 8th, sometime after morning training Description: Dancing!
Ahiru's leotard and ballet slippers, likewise, weren't exactly like the ones she had in Kinkan, but she got as close as she could manage. If nothing else, it felt sort of like a little piece of home.
And she considered dancing itself to be one of those connections, too. Mytho and Rue were still dancing, she was sure. And Mr. Cat was teaching. And Pique and Lilie...
Her thoughts trailed off as Fakir approached where she had set up with a make-shift barre via chair in the kitchen and she smiled in greeting, one leg still poised rather awkwardly behind her. "How did training go?"
She had gone with him a few times, but she still liked to hear about it. The first time she had thought of Fakir teaching, she hadn't thought he would have the patience for it, especially with beginners, but he was a really good teacher. And a good partner, too.
Fakir hadn't bought clothes for ballet after arriving in Death City, as he hadn't had much intention to dance. But his training clothes would work well enough for practice, and socks would serve where he didn't have proper shoes for ballet.
Going to stand on the opposite side of the table from Ahiru, he bent over to begin his stretches. These he still did every day, at least, as he knew the benefits of stretching before physical exertion. It served him just as well to stretch before training as in preparation for dancing.
"Prussia was noisy." This could be taken to mean that everything had gone more or less as usual.
Ahiru had to stifle a laugh at that. "At least he's got energy in the morning!"
She liked Prussia and Germany both a lot. And as it was, she still had gifts for the two of them, come to think of it. They would make good Christmas presents, wouldn't they?
However, she didn't have a gift yet for Fakir. His was probably the one that would be the hardest. Ahiru didn't know that much about the sort of things that he liked. He read books, but she thought that her taste in those would be too far off. Maybe he would like some new clothes or something...?
...He'd probably find it really weird if she asked for any of his clothing sizes, though. And she still had time to think.
Switching legs, she extended the other one behind her, the chair screeching just slightly on the floor when she moved to lean against it again. "It's too bad we don't have some kind of barre and stuff in here. Chairs move a lot."
Fakir rolled his eyes as he moved all the way down to the floor to continue his stretching routine. "More energy than some. At least he wasn't drinking this time."
He was personally a lot fonder of Germany than Prussia, who he found to be more of a nuisance than anything else. Both had been of huge help in getting Ahiru back when she'd been kidnapped, and they'd been supportive of her afterwards when she was recovering. He owed them both a lot... but he didn't owe Prussia his patience.
Wincing slightly at the screech of the chair, Fakir frowned. "Use the edge of the counter, or at least the table."
