Any of the other countries knew how great a spy England was. Disguising himself was part of the fun. He liked pretending to be someone else. Not only did it usually assist with his spying, but it also pandered to his love of performing. He had no problem dressing up in any costume, whether it be for a man or a woman (unless it was too skimpy). After all, back in his younger days, all roles on stage were played by males. Why should he care? Acting was acting, wasn't it? He still thought it was a tragedy that none of his good wigs had taken the journey to Shibusen with him. He'd managed to find one at the last minute, but it was not a high-quality piece.

His hands were tucked into the pockets of his pretty olive coat that tied at the waist, and he was amused with the thought that he even had to wear a coat. Death City, after all, was hot and dry. It was refreshing to be in another country's home, especially if it had a different climate. His face was painted, not in an obnoxious way, but just enough to highlight his lips and eyes, and ( ... )

England's tone drew Sohki's attention over to the country. The change in tone amused him. To see England so enthusiastic over something was a sight to see, and the country's soul seemed to shine in response.

He chuckled lightly at the mention of shoes, and as his arm was bumped, the kirin playfully reached out to snap England's hand up. "If I had told you were we were going, that would have ruined the surprise," Sohki lightly teased. "You could always take them off."

It was very difficult walking in high-heels on the sand. England grinned and stopped walking. "That's a good idea." And he leaned over to take the boots off. Hopefully this would play into their plan. As soon as the pair halted, the hair on England's neck stood on end.

Sohki came to a stop when it seemed that England would follow his advice. There was a smile on his face as he glanced around while waiting. It didn't take long, and soon enough he saw the shimmer of a red soul swimming just below the surface of the water.

"It appears as though we have company," Sohki murmured with an amused chuckle. While the Kishin Egg might have still been beneath the water, it couldn't hide its soul from the kirin.

The fight had ended incredibly quickly, a lot faster than other fights with kishin eggs England had had in the past. He wondered if that was because he was getting stronger... Or if it was Sohki who was the strong one. China was lucky to have such a meister.

England transformed back to his original form, still in his disguise, and walked over to the soul. "You're pretty incredible," he said quietly as he reached out for the glowing orb. "I've never beaten a kishin egg with someone else that rapidly."

Releasing the hold he had on England, the kirin watched as the country advanced on the soul. Smiling pleasantly at his companion, Sohki waved the compliment off with a light laugh. "I may be blind, but I've been in my fair share of scuffles over the years," Sohki said.

Of course, his scuffles often involved the other guardians and who else was foolish enough to challenge him, even if it had been Naga more often than not. The thought amused him though, and he knew well that the dragon king's resentment towards him was partly due to the fact that Naga knew that he could never be beaten.

England smirked in response. Of course, he expected such power from a kirin. He was lucky that Sohki had agreed to go on a mission with him. He squeezed the wiggling soul once before eating it, still turned away so that Sohki did not have to see him. Well, see was not the correct word. England did not think Sohki was squeamish, but the kirin could see souls, or something. That troubled him the slightest bit.

Once England was finished, he turned around, feeling a small surge of power, one he usually felt after he'd eaten a soul. It was sad, thinking that he was basically collecting corrupted-human souls. But England's only goal now was getting stronger, no matter who he had to step on along the way. That was Prussia's motto, wasn't it? To each his own, and fuck everyone else. England's face darkened for a moment before he quickly changed the expression.

"Alright! I think we're done here."

It didn't bother him one way or another what England did with the soul, but he knew that the countries always were about appearances and power. That was fine with him, and as his companion consumed the corrupt orb, the kirin simply watched on in amusement. Not long before arriving here the first time he had given Lamia similar advice when it came to the Holy King.

When all was said and done, Sohki's expression remained pleasantly cheerful as he regarded the Weapon. England's soul seemed to flicker with his thoughts, but the kirin didn't pry. "Then we would do best to return to Shibusen~" Sohki said before gesturing for England to take the lead.
