Mifune technically didn't have to do work for the Watch any more than he didn't need to do work for Shibusen, but he always said yes to the requests placed on him. This time was to break up a pair of Shibusen students sparring in the park -- kids who had promptly run away the moment they found out Mifune was coming.

That had been half an hour ago. Mifune was still looking. He approached Rhode -- the kid who was always getting into fights, right? Was it her? No, unlikely -- and peered down with an impassive face. "Did you see two kids fighting?"

Rhode watched the man approach with a mild expression, licking at her ice cream until he asked her a question. She took a moment to glance around the area, giving a noncommittal hum as she licked her lips clean.

"I haven't seen anyone at all, except you." She shrugged, waving an overly curious fly away from her treat. "Is there supposed to be something interesting happening that I missed?"

None, then. Probably a useless task. Mifune should have brought Angela for a walk, if that was the case. This girl's ice cream gave him an idea, at least, although Mifune wasn't sure if it would get to her in a piece if it melted quickly.

"Two students from Shibusen were dueling," he finally answered, remembering that Rhode was there, not just the icecream.

"Oh. I wish I'd seen that."

She looked past him, half-hoping the mentioned hooligans would come parading past simply for her entertainment.

"Perhaps they'll come back. This is such a nice spot for a fight, compared to most of the streets in this part of town~"

Preying on little kids wasn't what he usually did, but watching the girl prance by with a big portion of delicious ice cream reminded Leo of just how hungry he himself was. Hungry and without a wallet or any money to go into (or out of) it. So he did the next-best thing and stuffed his hands into his pockets, following her slowly until she finally stopped. Perfect.

Leo's plan was simple. Walk up behind her, check if there was anything left of that ice cream (there better was!), steal it in a surprise attack from behind and put it into his mouth before she could react. Offer to return it and not go through with it if he felt mean. Easy scrumping.

Creeping lazily closer, he prepared to strike.

Rhode was rather blissfully unaware of her stalker, settling down beneath her tree and humming quietly as she kept lapping at her ice cream like a chocolate-loving cat. She did pause, however, glancing around at the odd feeling that someone was watching her... But she didn't go so far as to look directly behind herself and the tree she was leaning against.

No worries, it's fine! : ) lionborn July 20 2011, 03:00:49 UTC
Leo's eyes flashed for a moment, turning into feline slits as he slowly crept getting closer and closer to his soon to be victim, ignoring anybody else who might have noticed his strange behavior. Just a cat stalking a birdy, carry on~

Once he finally reached the side of the tree it was time to strike and he - straightened up, leaning over her shoulder and casually plucked the ice cream cone from her hands, mumbling a low "Thanks" before he casually claimed ownership to the sweet treat with his lips. Success!♥

It took Rhode a few moments to realize what had just happened, seemingly frozen as she stared at her empty hand with a rather dumbstruck expression. Her ice cream-- Her ice cream. Someone had just had the nerve to steal Rhode Kamelot's ice cream.

She was on her feet in an instant, temper rising from bliss to tree-flipping rage almost instantaneously. It didn't really help the situation when she saw that the thief had started eating already, and any angry words she'd managed to plan disappeared in an outraged little growl.

There wasn't any other option, really. If she couldn't have her ice cream, nobody was going to have her ice cream.

She didn't even bother stepping back: She just put all of her strength into one wrathful punch, aiming right for the ice cream and his thieving face.
