Jade had looked up from her current mechanics project -- refurbishing an old camera -- when Cheshire entered, watching curiously as he walked across the apartment and sit down in the kitchen. She grins; it's been awhile since she's seen the cat, and she enjoys his company.

"What did you bring-- oh," Jade looks a little bit shocked that he's carrying a bird, but doesn't say anything. He's a cat, she can't possibly expect him to be a vegetarian! "Did you catch that?"

The edges of his smile could be seen growing around the bird as he puffed out his chest and seemed to make his fur sleeker in pride. He gladly jumped back down and trotted his prize over to Jade.

He placed it at her feet before finally saying, "Hook and line!" There was no doubting from the way that he was preening that he had caught it himself.

She bent down, picking it up carefully. On one hand, she was a little appalled -- ew, dead bird! -- but on the other, she was kind of pleased that he trusted her enough to give it away. Jade finally looked back up and smiled at him.

"So, do you want bird for dinner?"

His grin widened, "If we lack the toves of the sunny wabe, and the borogroves all left yesterday, then it's time to bring the bird to brillig and broil away!" For all his fooling around with Vriska, it was Jade who he felt more affection for. He might be maddeningly confusing and speak of odd things regularly, but Jade didn't get very much of the teasing or harassing that he did with Vriska.

He rubbed against him, circling in between her legs with his smile shining up at her. To her it might have been an icky dead bird, but that was just often how he ate when he wasn't raiding Vriska or her fridge. The ones around here were easy enough pray on after all. There weren't too many cats around.
