She'd only spoken to Alois once, and it was over the network...but Haru had invited her, and he was an absolute joy, so. Here she was.

"Hello!"

"Lili!" Haru beamed at the sight of her, going over to plant a kiss on her cheek before producing a small, wrapped box.

"I'm not sure if you'll like it. But I think it kinda goes along with your choice of clothes." At least, Haru had seen her wearing fancy blouses that would look nice if dressed up on the sleeves. And when Lili opened it, she would have a pair of ruby cufflinks.

He received a kiss in return, and she neatly unwrapped the box.

"They're gorgeous, of course I like them. Thank you so much, Haru!"

Aw, Lili. Haru just smiled after the kiss, "You're very welcome."

And then he takes her by the hand, promptly leading her to one of the seats so they can sit down. "Sooo. Before everyone gets here -- tell me. How's it going with you and that boy you like~?"

Meant for Haru, but you're welcome to bug him anyway. XD

Soul came around about thirty minutes later, dressed like he usually was, looking like he didn't actually want to be there. Truth be told, he didn't know why he had bothered - it would have been easy to just. Not go.

It's been weird these days, though, and he doesn't much like thinking about his own moods.

The white-haired boy took one look at the crowd, then elected to stay well away from it by hanging around near the edge of the roof, where the view of the city skyline was best.

And there he was! Haru had been mingling like the social butterfly he so pretended to be. But when he caught sight of the white-haired weapon, Haru freed himself from the group and took a slice of cake from the table, carrying it with him. He lingered behind the other for a moment, before creeping up to his side and tilting his head to catch a peek of where Soul was looking.

Haru followed his gaze and then looked back at him, "Thanks for coming." And he offered the dessert in his direction. "It really is good. France does an excellent job. If you ever need someone to cater a party, I think he's your man."

"Parties aren't my kind of thing."

Nevertheless, Soul took one look at the cake before reaching out to take the plate. Might as well. Free food was always nice.

"Ah. Is that so?" Haru clasped his hands behind his back the second Soul took the cake. "Hmm. You must be the cool loner type, then."

But even so, that had to be lonely. Haru could imagine that Soul was the type of guy to keep people at arm's length -- especially when he so obviously (at least to him) liked Maka, and still hadn't acted on it when they had been partners for a while, it seemed.

"But it doesn't hurt to go to parties every once in a while. 'Cause if you don't have the fun, you just got the war, right?"
