Laura came around sometime later, dressed in something easy to move around in but not loose enough to be obstructive. The girl studied her surroundings for a moment before looking for Ash; it did not take her too long to find him.

"Ready," she said, the moment she was close enough.

...And they both need Meisters. We should go meister-hunting.

It was better, but...

Without any warning whatsoever and in a single fluid movement, Laura dropped down in a low, sweeping kick, aimed at hooking Ash's legs out from under him.

She was fast, but not nearly as fast as usual. She was only out to measure his reaction time.

"Bwah!" He managed a scream and a half dodge half trip. Even though he wasn't a trained fighter, he was still a trainer and reacting in Pokemon Battles was the majority of his strategy. He landed a lot more gracefully then he'd dodged, giving a short sigh at not having fallen on his rear.

"What was that for?"

When we find a pair, we should stare up at them with moe eyes together. T^T

But Laura was already standing upright, studying him with another thoughtful look.

"...Tolerable."

"Er, thanks?" He titled her head, catching her look before rubbing his cheek.

"Sorry, I'm just not used to fighting like this." Normally he shouted orders and gave protection should any of his pokemon need it. So, at least he was pretty sure he cold take a hit considering some of the attacks he'd recieved over the years.

HMM WE MUST SEARCH YES.

That caught her attention.

"How do you fight?" Laura asked, clearly intrigued. She was always out to learn new styles (and see if she could defeat them, or incorporate them into her own).

"Not like this. My pokemon usually fight with me- I just make sure they don't get hurt." Of course if his pokemon were in danger, Ash had a pretty remarkable burst of strength and stamina to get them back.

I actually wonder who could use weapons like us. o_o

"...Pokemon?"

I...just realized that they're esentially the same type of weapon! xD

"Er, they're creatures in my world. Mostly they live in the wil dbut people can catch them and use them for battles."

"I see..."

Another pause.

"Oh. I believe you may have mentioned them to me before. Forgive me: my memory is usually better than this."

"No problem- it's...I guess it's pretty weird for anyone not in my world." He'd relaxed a little, grinning as the sun finally started showing itself in the sky.

"what sort of fighting do you do?"

I hope we find Meisters together. ;;

It was difficult to explain, and she may not know much, but she knew ENOUGH to know that saying something along the lines of I kill people probably wasn't going to help her case.

"I do a lot of different things."

"Mmm, like what?" His face was pretty open, and he rarely had reason to judge anyone. "I mean I've met ninja's and boxers but...that's probably not the sort of thing you did?"

"Part of it, but not at all."

She was not comfortable with talking about it, really, but she was not exactly about to lie unless she was forced to.

"You know how to box?" He'd only ever watched it- and that wasn't against people either.

He looked ahead for a bit before nodding, "Alright...teach me that then."
