October 25, evening.

Usually on the nightly patrol, Genesis would only find about one or two questionable presences to question or apprehend around the Shopping District. The occasional vandal or midnight thief. Tonight, though, the Zone Leader could sense something out of the ordinary.

His first thought was that Sephiroth had come to visit. But he was too sure that the other Zone Leader, his former comrade in SOLDIER, would spare him such a moment. So he stopped and turned to see who this one was. It piqued his curiosity that who had appeared before him seemed to practically be a clone of the man he was thinking of. But he knew better than to jump to conclusions. He approached him.

"What are you doing here so late at night?"

No doubt Kadaj looked suspicious. Here he was, a strange teenager, roaming the streets during the dark. He was shirtless, still a bit bloody, and stumbling around everywhere. Of course he was going to get stopped. He was in no mood nor physical condition to truly fight (though if Mother wanted him to do it, he would, without question). For now he would try to avoid it. Genesis was not someone to be taken lightly ( ... )

"Are you a fan?" Genesis scoffed, a little amused by the little recital and the mention of his name.

"Or perhaps you were more of a member of the Silver Elite. Not a lot of people carry a hair color like yours. But you certainly are from the same world as I am if you can recite Loveless like that. So few know the words by heart, though. Are you one of the newcomers?"

Genesis began to approach now, coming closer towards the youth. Already now, he could feel something that was too much like Sephiroth from this man. Was it a clone? But Sephiroth's cells weren't capable of doing so. The S-type cells weren't like his or Angeal's that could easily be transferred from being to being. Who exactly was this man in the darkness? He would only have to find out as this conversation continued.

Kadaj narrowed his eyes slightly in bewildered curiosity. What did Genesis mean when he said that they came from the same world and that the teen was a newcomer? He tried to thread together all this new information into something that made sense. Most of Genesis’ words were riddles or pure drivel. Kadaj decided he wouldn’t waste his time trying to decipher it -still the thought that this might really be a different world lodged itself in the back of his mind for later investigation ( ... )
