Rise had changed in many ways since coming to Death City all those months ago, but one thing still remained and that was her love for shopping. Even if she ended up getting nothing, which was usually the case, just going out and seeing what the city had to offer was a fun endeavor, especially when it came to finding something that didn't fall into the mainstream of dark and gothic or gimmicky clothing. Not that she couldn't appreciate that as well, but she was a girl of variety ( ... )

I got some information on preceding events, tags are now easier. visioneightfold February 4 2011, 06:33:19 UTC
Vriska nearly jumped out of her damn skin. It wasn't that she hadn't seen Rise--blah blah, saw most things going on around her, etc.--but trolls didn't usually approach other trolls without a good reason, so when she addressed Vriska directly, it was a bit of a shock.

"What? No. I mean--I just need a fucking jacket, what does it look like?" It was half anger, half fluster, but it was accompanied by a flash of fangs and visible bristle, not unlike something feral. Her glare, however, was all annoyance and little rage, her wild black hair framing her grey skin in tangles.

sorry for this late ;; forthecamera February 14 2011, 22:36:56 UTC
Rise had a similar reaction, she hadn't meant to catch her off guard, which at least to her seemed to be what she had done so she held her hands up in a hopefully pacifying manner.

"I'm sorry. Didn't mean to startle you."

Rise couldn't help but feel that she could do more with just a new jacket, but she was going to try very hard to beat down those urges to go wardrobe makeover on her.

"Are you looking for one similar to...that one or something else?"

It's fine! This is super tiny because I'm studying for an exam, um. visioneightfold February 15 2011, 05:55:46 UTC
Vriska quirked an eyebrow--placation that fast was sort of a new one, and kind of insulting to boot--but she pocketed her hands, hiding her fangs behind her blue lips.

"The same, yeah." What kind of question was that? What was she gonna do with a different jacket? Her brow furrowed, creasing slightly in consternation.

Despite falling asleep by his friends the night before, John just hadn't been able to sleep restfully. There were too many things on his mind that were confusing and worrying him, leading to bewildering sorts of dreams and nightmares that he really could have done without. When he woke up in the early morning, and just couldn't fall back asleep again, John figured that the whole attempt was kind of silly and decided to go out for a walk to get some fresh air. Hopefully, Dave and Jade wouldn't worry too much about him since he did leave a note for them ( ... )

I am SO TIRED who knows if this is IC or not! visioneightfold February 3 2011, 23:29:03 UTC
Vriska was, admittedly, a little bit distracted. Okay, a lot distracted--but she wasn't exactly distracted enough to go running headlong into people. She nearly did anyway, horns-first, sidestepping him at the very last second. It was purely by virtue of looking up at the right moment, and even then it took her another second to actually recognise him.

"The fuck, watch where you're going, assh--You." John?? Here?

She stifled another curse, this one more private. It wasn't that she didn't want to see him, it was that... well, okay, she didn't plan to see him, and definitely didn't want to now; suddenly she couldn't tell if this was the best windfall (pun unintended) to land in her lap since Aradia's little push towards death or the single worst stroke of luck so far.

"Woah, sorry!!", John sputtered as the other barely managed to avoid what would have been a rather embarrassing incident. "Are you okay, I did not mean to-"

But then the appearance of the girl he had nearly run into caught his attention. Well... that much was obvious anyways, since most humans would have probably stared at the sight of a troll in person anyways. They weren't out too much during the day, after all! But John in particular was someone who had been growing more curious about meeting more of these trolls ever since he arrived in this city, so. Have a bit more staring than usual. He had never seen a female troll in person before!

Then he realized that he should probably just greet the girl troll, before this got even more awkward. "Oh, hey," he said, "You must be a troll, like Karkat! Er... have I talked to you yet?" Because the way she had said that you was a little strange, if this was somebody that hadn't trolled him before.

That was the question. Vriska had no idea whether she had contacted John or not, from his perspective. She had no idea whether and what she'd done or saidy his reckoning, or if--as far as he knew--she even existed at all.

Fuck.

"Perhaps!" Vriska tossed her hair over her shoulder, getting it out of the way and (coincidentaly) covering more of the visible damage to her back and jacket. "John, right? When did you get here?"
