"What? No. I mean--I just need a fucking jacket, what does it look like?" It was half anger, half fluster, but it was accompanied by a flash of fangs and visible bristle, not unlike something feral. Her glare, however, was all annoyance and little rage, her wild black hair framing her grey skin in tangles.

"I'm sorry. Didn't mean to startle you."
Rise couldn't help but feel that she could do more with just a new jacket, but she was going to try very hard to beat down those urges to go wardrobe makeover on her.
"Are you looking for one similar to...that one or something else?"
Reply
"The same, yeah." What kind of question was that? What was she gonna do with a different jacket? Her brow furrowed, creasing slightly in consternation.

"The fuck, watch where you're going, assh--You." John?? Here?
She stifled another curse, this one more private. It wasn't that she didn't want to see him, it was that... well, okay, she didn't plan to see him, and definitely didn't want to now; suddenly she couldn't tell if this was the best windfall (pun unintended) to land in her lap since Aradia's little push towards death or the single worst stroke of luck so far.

But then the appearance of the girl he had nearly run into caught his attention. Well... that much was obvious anyways, since most humans would have probably stared at the sight of a troll in person anyways. They weren't out too much during the day, after all! But John in particular was someone who had been growing more curious about meeting more of these trolls ever since he arrived in this city, so. Have a bit more staring than usual. He had never seen a female troll in person before!
Then he realized that he should probably just greet the girl troll, before this got even more awkward. "Oh, hey," he said, "You must be a troll, like Karkat! Er... have I talked to you yet?" Because the way she had said that you was a little strange, if this was somebody that hadn't trolled him before.

Fuck.
"Perhaps!" Vriska tossed her hair over her shoulder, getting it out of the way and (coincidentaly) covering more of the visible damage to her back and jacket. "John, right? When did you get here?"
