Mukuro arrived rather promptly, which might have been a surprise to some - whether he turned up at all at somebody's request was always questionable, and the time of his arrival was determined by just how bored he was, or how interested he was in his current friend of the moment.
She paused, looking back at the chart. If she had to guess, he was hiding something from her. It was easier for her to spy than interrogate; she decided to leave off on questions for now.
Adah didn't particularly care for emotions when it came to people. She usually reserved strong emotions for books, or research. However, her sister was the person she could hold all sorts of anger for and not care at all. Jealousy, rage, a seething desire to finally be out of her shadow...Death City had helped to cure her of some of that, but it was still there. She wouldn't let it diminish because of a momentary absence.
A knock on the door, then:
"I'm here."

Was he teasing her or trying to deflect? Who knew.

And it was true. Hate just wasn't stylish. Disapproval was easy; apathy, easier still. But hate implied more than it let on.

Mukuro leaned back, folding his hands together and smiling at his partner.
"So, who's the lucky person?"

She pointed to the square with a spade in it. "Hatred relationships belong here."

In spite of the other girl's absence. And Mukuro did remember that conversation he had with Adah way back, when she had wanted to go for a walk.
