MISSION 041 ENCAMPMENTsoul_modsDecember 14 2010, 05:38:37 UTC
[The able mission goers stay there until about midnight before going back to Death City, getting the preliminary treatments and briefing done. The wreck of the facility is smoking a distance away.]

With the mission concluded, Vergil remained behind after initially returning to the encampment, having been one of the first ones back with Genesis, Toph and Clovis. The others had since moved on to head to Death City, but the Meister had elected to stay and await further news. In the time had had been here, he had been yet to see either Dante or Date return. Whilst he couldn't care less about the former, the latter was a cause for concern.
This was, of course, because the entire reason the two of them had so insistently joined this mission before plans for it had even been formulated was to rescue Asano Rin, who was somebody of significance to the both of them. He had heard no news of the girl, either, and he was holding out on the hope that Date would've been the one to find her. He was markedly less concerned about the samurai himself - Date was Vergil's equal, and as far as he was concerned, it went without saying that he would be back eventually. It was simply a matter of waiting.

Date's team had been pretty much one of the last ones to return, if not the last ones. Too many things had happened on his side, and said events had been put a great toll on him both physically and mentally. The discovery, his own reaction, and then battling against Giriko once more before having to flee as the building collapsed from the bombs...
Everything after that was mostly a blur to him as the reality of the situation settled into him - Rin was dead; one of his people was dead. And he hadn't been able to do anything to protect her when it had been his vow to protect all who was under him. She had been kidnapped, and then tortured, and now dead. Dead and gone just like his father and his brother was, dead all because of himThe sight of the samurai was not a pleasant one as he stumbled across the encampment, attempting to find a spot to sit down. He had suffered a good deal of injuries, but none of them were especially significant enough to warrant him a stay at the clinic (though some of them were pretty damned close to). He

[Closed to Lain (and Al)]killswithkissesDecember 14 2010, 17:04:18 UTC
That damn witch did a number on Yoko. She had many cuts and scrapes with a rather large bruise on her side. She also guessed she might have twisted her ankle-but nothing too serious in her opinion. Yoko and Al were the few to arrive late and so once they arrived, Yoko had moved on her own looking around for any sign of Lain. The girl had to be back...right? Yoko feared the worst when she had seen the body bags and still felt worried. Yoko limped around, ignoring anyone who asked if she was ok.
[Four days ago Enma got a very awkward cake as thanks from Rei -- after his return from the mission, he realized (as he bandaged a few scrapes on his arm) that said cake was still mostly intact in his fridge, save for a few pieces consumed by Riou, Rika, or himself.
And now it's on the first floor corridor of Casualty Communal, with Enma sitting cross-legged nearby, armed with paper plates. Mainly to make sure no one steals it all. The kid's not here for socializing, geez.
He figures that, well, the cake probably shouldn't go to waste. And people might want some after the past few days in Death City.
[One of the rescued has finally been released and is hovering awkwardly near-by, unsure.
Take a piece, or not to take a piece...
Her stomach growls and Bold makes a frustrated groan and practically screams at Normal inside her head that they haven't had sweets in at least a month, get over there and take a god damn piece of cake awkward turtle gingers be damned!
So Normal inches a bit closer and makes a quiet noise, trying to draw Enma's attention]
[CLOSED DATE+DANTE] Lots of fail herewittyreplyhereDecember 14 2010, 09:46:14 UTC
[Now that things had calmed down, Dante wasn't sure what he should be doing. He just kind of sat on the couch and peered over at Date whenever he saw the man, wanting to say something, but being unable to. He wasn't good at things like that, he had no idea what to say to someone who was grieving.]
[CLOSED DATE + DANTE] So much failgetyourgunsonDecember 14 2010, 10:37:14 UTC
[Date's at the kitchen table himself, trying to rest as much as he could after somehow managing to get back here. Everything's been a blur to him ever since back in the mission, and nothing has really made him feel better. He's taken off his helmet, and now its on the table - and Date's staring at it with his one eye, as if something about it would make him get something or someone.
(He wasn't going to admit it, but right now the Meister really wanted Koujurou to be here and help him.)]
[CLOSED DATE + DANTE] He's such a failurewittyreplyhereDecember 14 2010, 11:04:04 UTC
[Dante stands up and walks round until he's standing behind Date. He opens his mouth to say something, but thinks better of it and stays silent. If it was any other situation that would have been considered a miracle.
Instead he chooses to sit down next to him. If he couldn't say anything then he'd have to show his support in a different way. Dante notes the injuries Date has, every single one of them evidence of their failure. Injuries he had brushed off as insignificant.]
DEATH CITY MORGUEsoul_modsDecember 14 2010, 05:39:59 UTC
[It’s actually near the hospital. Lots of people have been frequenting it lately. Apart from Rin’s body, there are also the new casualties from the recent construct and witch attacks housed there.]
