[Minako is trailing a little way behind her counterpart - she has mixed feelings about the possibility of Junpei going home. Junpei wasn't the Junpei she knew, but at the end of the day he was still the same person at heart. She'd wanted, and hoped, that she could build back the friendship she had with her best friend, even if he wasn't exactly the same.
If he'd gone home then... he was safe. She assumed. She didn't know a whole lot about what had been happening in the Iwatodai Minato was from. She and her counterpart hadn't ever really discussed the differences between their homes, and how much had been affected by SEES having a different leader.
When the door was opened, and Junpei's room was starkly absent of anything related to him, she felt a very strange mix of relief and sorrow. At the end of the day, having a Junpei around who didn't know who she was had been more comforting for her than him not being there at all.]

[Minato continues his examination of the emptied apartment, taking measured steps in a bizarre bee-dance pattern--avoiding clutter that should be, but isn't, there. He circles the room, then sets himself down against the bed, facing the empty wall. He points.]
The TV was there... the gamestation was underneath. Guess they didn't stay...
[His gaze falls to a spot beside him, a vaguely circular groove in the carpet.]
He'd sit here and play. [He touches the indent and tugs at the resilient carpet fibres. It stubbornly holds the shape. Minato smiles wistfully.] ... He sat there a lot.
[Minako remains stood near the doorway as Minato flits around the room avoiding the ghosts of what had occupied the room before. Eventually, after Minato seats himself against the bed, she wanders across the room, not bothering to dance around items she never knew existed, and stands by the wall where the TV had once been.]
So it was just as messy as his room in the dorms then?
[She giggles a little, quietly and under her breath, remembering the security video of the state of Junpei's room, and Mitsuru-senpai's confused face after she realised there hadn't been a break in that left his room in that state.]
... ... You're going to miss him, aren't you?
[In a way, she would too. Junpei was Junpei, and it seems he was as important to Minato as he was to her.]

He looks up at his (still strange) counterpart and deliberates an answer to the question. Junpei hadn't been here when Minato first arrived; in the beginning, he thought he was to stay here alone, a second chance to live a bit longer with a new group of friends in another world. Until Junpei arrived, he didn't even consider the possibility of being followed. Now he watched every BREW induction with the vague hope of catching a glimpse of someone familiar.
Expectation was a funny thing.
"I will," he admitted, reclining back until his head rested against the mattress. He stared up at the ceiling. "He wasn't supposed to be here, though..."

[After morning training Rise had gone to the Casualty Communal instead of the restaurant, or Death City Heights. It wasn't unusual for her, after all she liked to keep tabs on everyone and there were still a lot of people from the recent batch of newcomers she had yet to meet. This place never ceased to make her nostalgic. So much had happened in these halls in the months that she had been here]
[The ex-idol paused where she was, looking towards the ceiling and then beginning to make her way towards the stairs. Paying the roof a visit would be nice]
I WILL MAKE IT RIGHT WITH TIME MAGICarisatominatoOctober 8 2010, 03:15:45 UTC
Visiting Junpei's room had been a strange experience. In part, Minato felt that it was a necessary one. It helped him understand, properly this time, how Mitsuru and Akihiko-senpai felt exploring (and sealing up) Shinjiro's room. Too bad he couldn't do the same here--in a week, somebody else would occupy that space.
He had needed a change of scenery, something different from the monotonous, and thus reminiscent, interior of the Communal. The rain and the situation outside limited his options, so he chose an umbrella and he chose the roof. By doing so, he inadvertently chose a familiar mane of red hair in the stairwell, heading in the same direction.
"Ah..." He made a sort of requisite noise to announce his presence, "Rise. Hi."
[She stops where she is when she hears the familiar voice and turns, eyes brightening when she sees Minato. It's been a while since she's seen him face to face, and even their conversations over the network have been scarce. Glad as she is to see him, however, she can tell something is wrong]
[Minato manages to smile. The reply is easy--it's easy to feel good in Rise's presence--and it helps him mask his dazed stupor just a little. He closes the distance between them, not breaking the pace of his measured ascent to do so. When only a couple of steps away, he completes the greeting by offering his hand to her, palm facing up, in the manner of a gentleman greeting a lady.]

[Adah had briefly wondered where Minato had wandered off to in the afternoon, but she didn't press the issue; what he did with his time was his decision. Besides, it meant that she could continue putting things into bookshelves and cabinets without stopping to have a nice chat.
But eventually, she wondered where he had gone. Her natural curiosity got the better of her. Adah decided to simply wander through each floor of the Communal; if he wasn't there, then she would go back to unpacking.
When she wandered onto Junpei's floor, she thought she heard his voice. The door was open -- well, slightly ajar -- and she let herself in, feet making quiet noises against the carpet. Adah hoped that she had picked the right room, and wasn't simply wandering into some stranger's abode. Of course, that could be interesting, too.]

[Minato, on the floor, next to a butt groove. His head leaned back against a mattress, his gaze fixed to the ceiling. He doesn't move, but he's not asleep. Just immobile. His eyebrows lift at Adah's approach, and his eyes strain to the side to catch a peripheral glimpse of her.
He raises his arm in a languid greeting, then sets it back down.]

[This is wrong.
This is wrong and Adah knows it; people have normal patterns of behavior and this is not Minato's she is sure. She walks closer to him and sits down beside him, unsure of what to do. She's never seen people act like this before. What's going on?]
[This time, Minato actually tilts his head to look at her. To look down at where she is sitting. In the spot Junpei sat. There's a message there, an unintentional message that makes him smile just a little bit. He shifts his weight to slump now, head to shoulder, against his partner rather than the (moldy) bed.]

[Even though Minato and Minako said that they were going to look for Junpei, Fuuka couldn't but look for him also. The girls tends to worry often and she wanted to be sure if she wasn't overreacting. However, after both of them went through the room, it seemed like she was right. It was a sad feeling knowing that her friend had gone back to his world. Judging from what he said, he doesn't know yet...which also means he had to face what was to come later on. While he did say that he wanted to move forward, sometimes, she would have much preferred if he had stayed here.]

He's gone... [Minato makes sure they're looking at each other face to face.] So I can answer your questions now, Fuuka.
