Note: Vergil WILL be drunk off his ass blue_darkslayer September 26 2010, 21:22:43 UTC
[Not for the first time tonight, Vergil was asking himself what in the fiery, God forsaken hell he was doing here. It had seemed both harmless and logically productive at the time to seek out Raven (now his 'Master') for guidance on the subject of meeting and speaking with people of the female gender.

He had been wrong. So, very, very wrong.

So after Raven practically kicks in the door in something akin to a dramatic entrance, Vergil slinks in with remarkably less confidence. It's rather obvious just by looking that he's more than slightly disturbed by the churning crowds of people, however it's quite less obvious that he is far more disturbed by the fact he had to come here unarmed, as well.]

Over there.

[He gestures unenthusiastically. Vergil also needs to learn more about drinking while he's here. Sadly for him, he's completely unaware that he has zero alcohol tolerance. It can only end badly.]

[Raven, used to stuffy knights and the like, notices Vergil's lack of enthusiasm right away. We can't have that, can we? So the older man grins, flopping an arm around Vergil's shoulders (a rather hilarious sight with the half a foot height difference between the two) and leading him to the bar.]

First things first then: What's your poison?

[Random physical contact is not something Vergil is particularly a fan of, and the displeasure is rather obviously written on his face. It spells 'unimpressed'. Being as oblivious and quite ignorant to certain social nuances as he is, he interprets the question literally:]

Whichever kills me the fastest.

[He will no doubt regret his choice of words before the night is out.]

[He's not a stupid man, and the distaste in Vergil's face and body language is obvious. But it changes nothing in Raven's demeanor at all, as if he either doesn't realize or doesn't really care. Though Vergil's answer makes him laugh and step back]

Ah ha! A brave one! Don't move.

[With a cheerful hop to his step, Raven makes his way to the bar: the brands are very different here, but it doesn't take him long to find what he wants. Soon he's back with a full bottle of amber fluid and two tiiiiny shot glasses. He pours them himself, offering one to Vergil.]

To future endeavors and past regrets! [He tips the shot back in one swallow, grimacing in apparent pain as the liquid hits his gut]

Not bad, not bad....
