Ted turns and gives her a smile and a little wave. Man, she was hotter in person. Right. Okay, Not the best way to start off a friendship, staring at a lady's fishnets.

"Uh, yeah, unless I look like your aunt Gladys, or something." He grinned again and shifted his weight a little. "Um. Nice to actually meet you in person."

It wouldn't be the first time a guy was staring at her, let alone one that was a friend or worked with her. She shrugs it off with a bright smile and took a few steps closer to him, as if she'd just been given silent permission to do so.

"Well, I don't have an Aunt Gladys." Or any aunt, even. "We met a few times, but it was always in one of those crisis situations, so I don't think we ever actually spoke to one another." Zatanna grins, honestly unable to stop. "Uh, would it be weird if I gave you a hug? You know, for all the world-saving. Also, I'm stuck here with some alternate universe version of the Scarecrow and haven't seen anyone I know for about a month," as if that made it less awkward.

"Yeah, uh, I don't think so, either." He hesitates a bit and shrugs, grinning. "Uh, sure, that wouldn't be weird." Hugs from hot ladies? Were never weird, in Ted's book.

"...So it's just us and the Scarecrow? Gee, that sounds fun."

After she's been given the go, she barely gives it a moment before diving onto him, wrapping her arms under his and gripping tightly, like she's known him forever. It was a welcome home, I missed you with all the genuine sincerity of one that might have been his wife or sister or mother.

"Nghh, yeah." She mutters.
