Tony promptly ignored it.

Instead he went straight to driving, flooring it in order to get a much needed boost of adrenaline going before anything even went down. It was like his version of a pep-talk. Ride fast, hit 'em hard. It was a very bad habit to break, and dangerous to boot. Except Tony always seemed to have lady luck on his side somehow.

He would either find the Eggs some other way, run into them by accident, or eventually cave and let Pepper give him the run-down of the information to put it to use. But he wasn't going to read it himself. He never read anything concerning business for himself, did he.

Tony for his own part seemed normal: no troubled expressions, no hidden emotions, not even a thought in his head. He seemed focused on the drive and nothing else mattered or could get through his concentration. But even beneath that it didn't seem like he was ignoring anything through the practiced motions; he was content and there was nothing else to it.

He raced onward until he finally glanced up into the rear-view mirror and this time noticed Pepper there. He double-took the glance. Then grinned as he focused on the road.

"Penny for your thoughts, hot-rod," he chimed.
