How nice it was to be on the lower levels of the Communal so that he needn't have to worry about his apartment being broken into -- it meant that his sewing and other stitch-work was left alone as well. His hands continued to rub his face as he felt more than a little troubled about what he had seen during that wave of madness. That demon Stein continuing to try to reach out through the darkness to dissect him. The piece that he was working on gave an unhappy noise as he twisted the material in fear -- would probably rip if it wasn't leather.

This was good as it meant that he looked up from both his work and the clock to see that he had to hurry lest he be late. That damn Stein will never stop giving me nightmares until he is dead. As the thought passed his mind, he held his head in his hands to let out a soft sob. Passing by some incomplete paintings (one a gift for his sister), he slipped out of his apartment. How depressing. Apartment. Not villa or manor. His head gave a slight tilt as his pride took another blow before speeding ( ... )

Clovis was always so proper. Spirit admired people like that, mostly because he tried but he somehow ended up flailing instead. Well, not usually, but lately, it seemed about the only thing he was doing. Dire straits seemed to be directly proportional, he supposed. Ah, but he had seen Clovis all distressed, too, so he knew that there was a cute widdle boy hiding under all the frills. It was kind of funny how he was the only one who knew!

Spirit came forward with all the energy of a mug of coffee and three hours of a nap -- which was to say, a lot -- and placed himself at Clovis' side. Peer up at him, all smiles. "It's great to see you, too. First! Which part of the city would you like your apartment to be in?"

To say that I would like to be placed as far away from the fighting as possible would be impossible. Clovis smiled politely in return to Spirit as he thought about the question. He had read on the apartment buildings, and did not particularly like the title of 'Murder Manor' to live in.

This city certainly has its own brand of humor and naming things. But living in such a place is just asking for trouble. The prince lightly shook his head as he really wanted to talk to Spirit about how they went around naming things. Filthy Flats sounds terrible. Reaper Residence is better, but I would like Euphemia to be living with me as well. She deserves the best that this place has to offer, after all. So two room apartment would be ideal.

Holding his chin for a few seconds, he hummed to himself. Realizing he was probably taking a bit too long to answer, he finally chirped. "I've actually thought a bit about it. I'd like to be close to the school, and within the --" So-called. "--entertainment part of the city. The Tartarus Terraces ( ... )

He should cityscape DC underground in the likeness of Spirit. daddyscythe August 28 2010, 22:50:41 UTC
Tartarus Terraces wasn't a bad choice. It was near Shibusen, yes, and was in a fairly populated part of town with all the conveniences around it. Populated meant well-protected, which he hoped Clovis would be, considering his friend's increasing number of phobias. Obligingly, Spirit nodded and turned them to the direction to get there.

He did appreciate the offer to help, though. Spirit understood that his friend wasn't one of the citizens of Death City, and so was under no obligation to care for it, so Spirit was touched that Clovis did. "Building and cityscape design, huh? We should have asked you before renovating everything else. But... thanks for offering." Less the cheer and more the quiet, satisfied sincerity of a man who loved his city and wanted other people to love it, too.
