It was about that when this thought filtered in that the one about the detective agency took its place. Heading in the direction of said Agency, he poked his head in to find that it was more or less a mess. Without any humor, as he was not trying to be funny or sarcastic, he decided to ask.]

Is this the mystery as to how half your Agency burned down?
