[ That knock had sounded far too loud to his ears. He asks himself, 'What am I doing here?' He's tempted to just walk away, but--

Foolish. Weak. After standing there for so long, he finally steels himself and pushes the door open. Blinks at all those casts on her. ]

...Hello. [ He adds one of his usual nods to this word, and then falls silent, still feeling awkward about this. ]

How long do you have to wear those cast?

[She has no idea of his inner monologue. Thankfully. If she could hear any of this, she'd be scolding him. And their strange sort of friendship had only just begun, even!]

Hi. [Her smile is wider and she gestures for him to join her -- most likely on the chair.] They're supposed to be coming off tomorrow. Doctor Watson has this amazing healing ability as a Weapon, so thankfully I didn't have to suffer from broken bones for long!

[OOO, defensive posture!] He's done particularly well. I'm itching to take them off now. Before coming here, I'd have just healed myself... [A beat] Well, if we're going down that road, if I did still have my magic, none of it would have happened in the first place and I'd be long gone.

[A little shrug.] No use crying over it, though, right?
