Fortunately Sohki had managed to recover from most of his injuries with nothing more than a stiff arm now, but that hardly stopped him from heading out for a walk. While it had pained him to keep them hidden from his dear Count, the kirin had thought it for the best. It was rather strange being so mortal here, but unlike some who took such a transformation negatively, Sohki found it more entertaining than anything else. Things had gotten so boring after all that it was about time that something exciting happened.

Sohki's movements slowed to a stop as he heard the happy barks of the dogs around. A small smile graced his lips before he chuckled at the young canine's enthusiasm. Obviously whatever had spiked this young one's attention had now caught the kirin's attention.

Opening up his eyes, dull orbs strained to focus on the female figure just a few paces away. "It seems as though that little one is quite fond of you," Sohki cheerfully murmured as he began to approach the young woman.

Colette petted the dog (Now christened "Caramel".) and straightened slightly at the sound of a voice. It seemed someone was watching her. "Oh. Hello! I have always liked dogs, so I hope they like me too. At least, some of them anyway." she replied with a smile, one hand raised to brush some of her bangs out of her face.

"I'm Colette, Colette Brunel." she offered, her other hand still resting on the dog's head, scratching behind it's ears.

While his eyesight wasn't perfect, Sohki could easily tell that this young one enjoyed the company of the four legged one beside her. "It appears as though that little one is quite taken with you," The Kirin said. It was a thought that caused him to chuckle quietly to himself, and the enthusiastic response he go drew a bemused smile from the kirin.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Miss Colette," Sohki said with a friendly smile. There was no further need for his eyes to remain open, and as he closed them, the kirin finally offered, "You may call me Sohki."

Raising up a hand to gesture towards Colette's face, Sohki continued to smile as he asked, "Do you mind if I take a look at you? I'm afraid my eyesight isn't as good as it once was, and I'd like to see what you look like."

Colette couldn't help the light giggle at that. She had always adored dogs, and had a certain affinity with them, it was true. "Mr Sohki, then!" she exclaimed, pausing as the other drew nearer and gestured to his face. He couldn't see....? It was not entirely surprising, but she couldn't help the wave of empathy from hearing it. It reminded her of her own circumstances back home. Not feeling. Not being able to speak. She gave a nod. "Yes. If it will help you...I don't mind."

Jiro didn't do much to make himself known, here. He preferred it stay that way. He didn't completely understand the appeal of the communication network that the city's people seemed fond of using, and by not using it, he found he was easily able to remain more or less unknown. Just a wanderer, like before.

He was sitting in an alley on the steps of a back door, playing a somber tune on his guitar, when he noticed a stray dog appear at the entrance of the alley. It stayed there, watching him with its tail wagging. He watched right back as he played. He even smiled a little. It was... cute, yes, that felt like the right word.

Colette couldn't help but notice the dog, immediately walking over to pet it and exclaim how cute it was. She had always loved dogs, but never had the chance to own one back home, given she was fated to potentially only live sixteen years since her birth with the Crystal in her hand, along with the travel when she undertook the Journey.

It was then she also noticed the music, turning her head and blinking at the boy. "Oh! Hello?"

When the girl appeared and took notice of him, he suddenly stopped playing, the last note he plucked fading out slowly. Sometimes when he played in more populated areas, people would stop and listen to him play, but they rarely addressed him directly. He wasn't even sure if he should respond or try and avoid her. So for a moment he just stared blankly at her.

"...Hello."

The Chosen tilted her head to one side, a small smile at her lips. "Sorry if I interrupted. I'm Colette, Colette Brunel. I just couldn't help noticing the dog. I wouldn't mind hearing you play though, if you're not too shy or anything, I mean." she continued, introducing herself and trying to reassure the other, apologizing (of course, it was Colette, after all) for the interruption as she continued petting the dog and it gave a soft bark and nuzzled into her hand more.
