Brew faster. Clovis resisted grabbing the teapot and give it a violent shake in order to allow it his tea to be made much quicker. He, instead, just glared at and clicked his tongue in vague annoyance at it. None of which did much but make him feel as though he were doing something even if all he needed to do was wait. If I were back home, it would already be made for me.

But he was willing to show that he was humble and at least make his own tea. He folded his hands over his lap as he wondered just how long it would take for the others to arrive. It seemed like his concerns on the matter were, at least, somewhat answered. He blinked once as the man passed. A bemused expression crossed Clovis's face as he was surprised that he was not even given a greeting. Well.Careful as he stood, he fixed his hair with a few fiddling. Clovis rolled his eyes as he wondered what it mattered. He was a prince and if this person was also royalty, they need only think of themselves as brethren. "Lovely morning, isn't it?" A cheerful and friendly opening ( ... )

Indeed, indeed, they will. justsopretty July 31 2010, 02:42:31 UTC
A slight tilt of his head as he so that he was waiting for return in compliments. When none game, he supposed that was fine. Oh, how he wished that he had some tea so that he would be given something calming to fill his mouth with than the vile things that he wanted to say. His brothers and sisters always said that he was too emotional.

Furthermore, he had to set a good example for Euphemia. She had bowed her head to too many people -- yes, he was still feeling sore about it -- and so he would do his best so that she would not have to apologize for any more rash decisions that he made. Such as arguing with people over potentially petty (though, he didn't see it such) matters. "Truly, simply because we are in the desert does not mean that we should not look the best that we can."

Clovis allowed another pleasant smile to slide into place. "Tell me, is there actually a shop here that sells cravats and other such clothing?"

It took him a moment to notice. He'd always made sure to arrive on time to training, but that also meant diving straight into it. Maybe it wasn't an extensive work out (it didn't help prepare much for those frogs, though he wouldn't say anything like that), but he was sparring-- it took focus. Making sure nothing went too far or slipped by or anything like that. So maybe it was a bit understandable that he only noticed after the first - thirty minutes or so, tops. They were on opposite sides of the field, and ( ... )

"Good morning, Kururugi." Another glare toward the teapot. It really was taking its pretty time to brew. Exactly how did those of lower classes handle this waiting? I suppose that they have such work to busy themselves with, but those that have even busier schedules cannot wait. He made a dismissive wave at the tea while he still waited for it to brew ( ... )

That glare toward the teapot was caught with minute amusement as Suzaku straightened, buried deep under layers of the discipline he already had in place when interacting with Britannians. And almost everyone here, really, with all of these different worlds and confusing nationalities - but it wasn't something to be bothered about. There were much bigger things to be bothered about.

Such as Clovis's staring. No, Kururugi didn't do anything like fidget or shuffle, but he didn't hold that gaze. Looked, instead, downward; the blanket was modest, the teapot moreso. The prince had to of been struggling with adapting to a world that didn't bow to him immediately (and that wasn't thought with malice, just fact); really, any of his transgressions were excusable, when one considered exactly where he came from. Then again, that could be the side of him that would eternally defend Euphie's interests talking, though he figured it might not have been ( ... )

"You're welcome." Clovis resisted raising his hands to rub his jaw, almost like it was terrible to have to thank Suzaku for anything. He was starting to think that everything was the Elevens' fault. His brother vanishing and those false reports of Nunnally and his deaths. Trying to make a better world for Nunnally -- that had been what Euphemia had said -- but that was what the Britannian Empire was doing. Had Lelouch really forgotten so much about the Imperial Family? So long as he continued to view Suzaku as both someone that Euphemia liked and an Honorary Britannian; everything would be fine between them ( ... )
