Günter, for his part, had been spending as much time at the carnival as His Majesty had. Partly because it was surprisingly fun, but mainly because he had to keep an eye on His Majesty and make sure Saralegui didn't move in on him or do anything suspect. Which for Günter was always top priority these days.

He had heard mention from His Majesty that Gwendal had been feeling better and that the young king planned to drag Lord von Voltaire to the carnival as well, so it wasn't a complete surprise when Günter caught sight of the younger man wandering through the crowds, looking very much out of place.

Being the kind hearted person that he was, Günter walked up behind Gwendal and said, excitedly, "Ah, so His Majesty did manage to pull you out of your cave for a bit of fun!"

Gwendal started when he heard the familiar voice behind him, not expecting Lord von Kleist to be out as well. Then again, from what he remembered, Gunter was on duty to ensure Saralegui wouldn't do anything to His Majesty during their stay in Death City. He grunted slightly in reply. "I don't have a cave. I was ill."

They both knew that even if he hadn't been sick, he wouldn't have left his "cave" unless His Majesty convinced him so. Which, as they could see, he had.

A smirk crossed Günter's lips and he shook his head. "Ah, yes, your illness. How are you feeling now, Lord von Voltaire? Better, it seems? You've been out of action for quite some time now, I was beginning to worry."

Gwendal nodded and sighed. "Yes, I'm fine. Dr. Watson cleared me and His Majesty decided to take advantage while the carnival was still here. Your worry is appreciated, but not needed."

Despite how ill he had been, he was more miserable than worrying if the flu would end up killing him or not. He looked to Gunter, though glad the man was on his right side and not his blind side and asked, "And yourself?"
