Characters: Yoko Ritona killswithkisses and Open for shenanigans Location: Shibusen Park Rating: PG! Time: backdated to Aug. 8th Description: Yoko decides sitting under a tree with a good book is appealing right now.
Luki still wasn't sure if she hated this place or not. There were a lot of things she liked and a lot of things she didn't. The big downside? Her twin sister wasn't here
( ... )
Yoko was fast asleep, enjoying her dream as she hugged the book to her and shifted a little. It wasn't until a soft noise woke her and she cracked open an eye to see a small girl staring intently at her. Yoko's eyes shot open and she stared back at the girl. What an odd looking girl. She blinked a few time and was quiet before she finally set her book aside.
"...hi?" She asked, uncertain what to do or say to the girl.
It wasn't often that Spanner actually got out. Aside from attending these so-called classes and occasional supermarket runs, he had been preoccupied with the interior of his apartment. Mainly, in remodeling and setting up a comfortable atmosphere in which he could live. By trying to create a new workshop.
Today, however, was no exception, as he took his "shopping" list and went out to find spare parts. He needed something to do with his time and energy, so a new project was just what he needed. Armed with only the tools in the toolbox he had brought with him, he went outside to find spare parts. Though where? He wasn't sure (a pity he was above taking apart cars for parts though).
Taking a route through the park (he still wasn't too familiar with the layout of Death City), he was surprised when he spotted into that girl he talked to on his first day there. Yoko, was it? Scratching his cheek in thought, he approached her, not noticing until he was close that she was asleep.
She was very much asleep. Yoko was leaning back against the tree, the book snuggled in her arms now as she smiled serenely at something in her dream. Yoko shifted and with her eyes closed still, lifted her hands in the air to stretch and let out a small yawn. She rubbed her eyes, blinking a few times to wake herself. Yoko looked up now to see Spanner hovering above her and bristled. Ah. How long was she asleep for and when did he come here?
Yoko marked her page and closed it, setting the book aside now as she gave him a sheepish smile. "Ah..hi." She replied.
Spanner just offered an awkward smile in return. "Ah, sorry. I didn't realize you were sleeping," he said, sliding his hands into the pockets of his jumpsuit. "I was just passing by. While running some errands." He didn't want to seem like he had been there for long anyway, as he hadn't. That was a little too creepy for his tastes anyway.
His eyes trailed down to the book she was holding. "I hope I'm not disturbing anything."
Kitty was outside taking a walk. She hasn't been here long and she wanted to know her way around more, know all the little nooks and crannies of the town like she did the mansion back home, even if she couldn't walk through the walls to find them. She came across Yoko and stood in front of her a bit, blocking the sun.
Her eyes fluttered opened as she frowned for a moment and blinked her eyes again. Yoko looked up at Kitty and bristled when she realized she fell asleep.
"Uh--I am now. Thank you. Is everything ok?" She asked, looking at the girl.
Yoko yawned again and ran her fingers through her bangs. "No. It's not very safe to sleep out in the open like this." She moved a little to give Kitty more room under the shade. She held up her book to kitty," I was reading this novel."
He'd... had a funny feeling he might find her here, Alfred thought with a sigh.
When he'd returned home, only to find that Yoko had gone out, he'd waited around a while, tried contacting her over the communicators, and then, when it seemed like she'd been gone for a little too long without answering his call, he'd gone out to look for her.
Under different circumstances, if what had happened a few days ago hadn't happened, he would have just shrugged the anxiety over where she had gotten off to away, but lately he found that he couldn't do that quite so easily.
But it was okay. Yoko was okay. She'd just fallen asleep. That was why she hadn't answered her communicator... "I should have known, Yoko..."
Wordlessly, he made his way over to the tree and sat down beside her. He would wait, admiring the nice day, until his partner finally woke up.
Yoko noticed immediately when he walked over to her but made no move at first to do anything. She sighed and shifted a little after a few blissful moments and slowly opened her eyes to see Alfred sitting next to her and watching the sky. Yoko almost jumped a little because her eyes caught the brown of his pants at first and she though back to a few days ago. Yoko pushed it aside.
She slowly sat up, rubbing her eyes and then stretching her back. "What are you doing here? I thought you were busy today," Yoko asked with a yawn.
"I got done with my stuff early." Alfred shrugged, side-glancing over at her without turning his head fully away from the view in front of them. He was being purposely vague, of course. He didn't want her to worry about him worrying about her. She had enough to deal with right now as it was, and they hadn't really talked much about It. He didn't want to upset her.
Yoko frowned, smacking him on the back with how vague he was speaking. She crossed her arms," You know I go out --well today was a bit different. I didn't feel up to jogging.."
She closed her eyes and sighed before looking over to him," I'll be fine. I'm much better Alfred."
Much like Yoko, Rise was enjoying the outdoors. She knew that she had to be careful because of that Crane man that was wondering around, but the girl needed a break. Things always seemed to be busy for her regardless of what was going on.
When she saw Yoko, Rise changed her direction and headed towards the older red-head.
Yoko woke with a start when Rise called her name, sitting up quickly and looking around as her hand moved behind her to grab her gun...then realized her gun was actually not even with her. Yoko played it off as she waved to Rise, giving the younger girl a smile.
"Hey Rise, fancy meeting you here. Doing well I'm hope. Hows Matt?" She asked.

Luki's face brightened further and she sat back on her haunches, hands settled on the ground between her legs.
"My name is Luki!" she said, pointing to herself. Meeting people was always fun. She loved making new friends, she loved the company.
"What's your name?" she asked, still smiling as big a smile as she could manage.
