She wandered, because for the time being, there was little else to do.

Fight someone else's battle? The very notion was laughable - quaint, naive, full of a well-meaning faith that was utterly ridiculous. Without purpose, what was there? Not even a promise, no, a hope that it would pave the way home, home to her empire beneath the world, that clean, white, hallowed place where even the flow of air was subject to her sacred will. That was a far cry from this hellish, dusty hovel.

She'd made inquiries, of course, upon her arrival. She was the good doctor, after all, the dedicated scientist, and so she'd smoothed the petulant curl of her lip into her sweetest smile. Facilities. Laboratories. They weren't luxury, they were necessity, wasn't that apparent?

It was at times like these that Eruka wished she was one of those rare Witches with the ability to read the minds of others. This woman let on nothing other than that confidence which had drawn her to begin with, but even someone such as she should be at least a little bothered by the situation she found herself in, shouldn't she? To be dragged to another world, which could be completely different from her own...well perhaps Eruka was assuming too much. Who knew what her world must be like, what she must have been through, what she did back there ( ... )

The warnings being thrown around between the citizens had been to her advantage. It meant that the place was quieter - in fact, she'd managed to go without encountering anyone at all, and that suited her just fine. It would only hinder her, especially amongst these good, kind residents that would doubtlessly usher her home and tuck her in and ensure she wouldn't be a danger to herself. Quaint, but she never had time for quaint.

There was a distinct prowl to her step as she rounded a corner, glanced this way and that, tipped her head up and breathed in dust and the scent of people, of life, the mundane, usual type of thing that everyone else would take for granted. Angelica did not, because hers was a world without that.

Still, she went on, unaware of being followed, in fact, until the voice spoke up from behind her. Unobtrusive. Meek, even, as far as the doctor was concerned.

She was in no mood to be disturbed, but pulled a smile onto her face, a little too bright, as she turned on one spike heel to face --

a frog.

Now that did bring a small degree of mirth to Eruka, and gave her a bit more confidence.

"It was me," She said again, but then quickly hurried on. She had no idea how strong this woman's patience was, or how willing she was to listen to the words of others so being straight and to the point was probably her safest option right now if she wished to convert her.

"They are trying to keep a rather tight leash on all of you arriving from different worlds. Spoon feeding you only with what they see fit, and when. There are other options for those want to take a hold of their own reigns."
