For the last couple weeks i have been thinking and inquiring as excactly how the looming Hst will affect me.and it seems that i will be getting a larger HST rebate back then the previous Gst rebate but it will also cost me more every time spend money.since im a cheap bastard that hordes his money like Scrooge Mcduck it might work in my favour

Here's something to think about from the food service end of things.
HST will apply a new tax to everything that only had GST previously.
That means that raw food ingredients (previously having only the cheaper of the two taxes) will be more expensive, thus causing a higher cost of running to the restaurants.
Since the restaurants have to pay out more, they have to charge more.
With rising costs of food, customers are less likely to tip at the same percentage as they would if the food was cheaper.
This means less take home for the food service staff (depending on how the restaurant works, that can also include kitchen staff).
While the "big business" of a restaurant will still have the same net earnings, the staff will have less.
This is the same staff that now has to go out and buy the still higher costing food to feed themselves after work.

i have yet to find a single plausible reason why HST is good for bc,good for me or good for anyone that isnt already a millionaire

i sure hope that petition thing stops it from happening
