You just have to find the right parts. And, um. You can... You can order better tools from other places, I think.

I've found plenty of parts, and tried to make some of my own - I'm more used to that. But it's the base material that's unacceptable. It simply doesn't work the way I need it to.

Perhaps better tools would help a little ... you run a store for this sort of thing?

An autoshop. I repair electronics and build things. I've, um... I've built all of my computers myself.

We shouldn't need to salvage. Robots may not be a valuable asset to the city or economy, but if I was able to create some, they could be ...

Besides, I need adequate supplies to finish this project.

You don't know what robots are? They're mechanical constructs, often in the shape of trolls. Er, or humans, I suppose; I've only ever built troll robots.

I appreciate your offer. At the moment, it's not a puppet I'm making, but repairing a set of legs I apparently crafted.

If you have time, and have no objections to searching in junkyards, perhaps you could have a look around there and see what sorts of mechanicals you can find.

A fellow troll of mine needs them repaired; he recently returned from a disappearance with them, and they were ... unacceptably broken. [this is the face of a slightly furious, slightly depressed mechanic.] I don't know precisely what parts I need; at the moment, I believe I have to craft them myself. Sheets of scrap metal would be idea, however, as would wiring, if you can find any.
