I apologize if it is...ah, as they say, "too soon" to speak of BREW, but occasions such as this make me wish that it had allowed my friends to travel here along with me. Several of them could light darkened areas without the use of electricity, and others were quite adept at tracking things via olfactory cues ( Read more... )

It does sound like that from an outside perspective, doesn't it? However, my friends were not quite sorcerers, though the things they are capable of are no less awe inspiring.

At home we call them Pokemon -- I suppose one could describe them as akin to the dogs in cats in this world.

Ah, though dogs and cats here cannot utilize electricity or breathe fire...can they?

No, I am quite certain that our animals can do no such thing. It seems to me that would make them much more difficult to keep control over.
