Perhaps. BREW seems to randomly decide whos remember Death City when they return and who doesn't. We don't have any say in the matter.

Maybe there's something that some people do to have their memory granted to them? Like doing a specific act gives that privilege... [Hey, it's a shot in the dark, but a better theory than nothing.]

I've been told that things go on as they normally do back where we came from, but the reliability of that statement is questionable.

I think it's different for everyone. I've known people to disappear and return without ever knowing that they've been here, while there are others who've returned knowing what they've done and what's happened.

So I don't think that anyone knows for sure, since it seems like everyone's experienced something different.

Yeah, that's what I think as well. So long as we remember, that's all that matters, right? It just means that we have to be for those people even more.
