[The video shakes and swings around a little bit at first as if being handled by someone not used to the technology at all, before stedying on a young man's smiling face]Hello, everyone. I'm new here, and I'm afraid all of this is still quite strange to me, so I've been trying to get my bearings. I'm still not sure how any of this works, but it's ( Read more... )

[This must be Katsura's best day ever...Still, he'll try and determine if Okita is going to go after him first.]

There are rental stores here. The clothes are of a western style, but it should be formal enough.

Ah. They would be able to tell me what would be appropriate, then?

Of course. It's their job to ensure that the man fits the clothes.

Welcome to Death City! [A bright happy smile accompanies his introduction.] I'm Yuuri, Shibuya Yuuri!

If you're looking for clothes, the mall would be a good place to start. [The thought that the one on the video doesn't know what a mall is doesn't enter his mind.]

Ah, thank you. Is that... a store? I'm afraid it's quite a bit different here than it is back home.

[The name seems familiar, but he was never much of a history buff.]

You've never seen a mall before? It's a big building that sometimes has hundreds of shops inside of them.

What sort of world did you come from?

No, we don't have anything like that.

I've been working in Kyoto, Japan for the last year, but I'm from Edo originally.

If you need any additional help, feel free to stop by the salon downtown. I will personally see to it that you arrive in style, monsieur.

There is no need to thank me. It is my job in this place.

Isn't whatever you feel like wearing appropriate? Oh, but there's the whole formal type thing, yeah? I'm still...trying to figure that part out, too!

There are usually different levels of dress depending on the occasion, but I'm not familiar with how things are done here. I thought it would be best to ask.

I dunno if things are done like this all the time, yeah? Maybe sometimes?

Maybe. Different places have their own way of doing things. We'll just have to get used to how they do them here.

I know what you mean. The technology is very advanced compared to my time.

[He's also spent quite a bit of time taking things apart in his room as well.]

But on your question... isn't a yukata enough?

It's all very interesting, but a bit strange. I didn't like the strange moving room that brought me up here at all.

I really don't think so. The person hosting it said 'formal,' and I only have my patrol uniform right now anyway, which I'm sure wouldn't be appropriate.

There's a room that moves? [Guess who took the stairs all the way up to the 11th floor?]

That is a problem. Wasn't it mentioned that we could get some things free of charge?

There is. It looks like a closet, but if you push the buttons the whole thing shakes and when the doors open again, you're somewhere else. I don't think I'm going to use it again.

I think so, but I didn't think that would extend to clothing for parties.
