It seems to have some potential! I'd give it a seven out of ten.

...Really. [She tips the bowl slightly, but the contents remain in place.]

That's the most generous vote I've gotten yet.

Though it looks hard and inedible, it'd be a waste to throw away something that can still be eaten. How did you make this?

[Faye makes a disgruntled sound at "hard and inedible." She knows, she knows...]

Yeah, I guess... And I just stuck it in the microwave. For a while.

[Squints at the screen.] It could have used more pancake mix.

[Faye makes a face to herself and just kinda mumbles.] It's not supposed to be a pancake.

[His face screws into a wry smile.] O-oh. I thought it was because it was flat and circular.

[Her lips quirk a little as she looks over the bowl from behind the communicator.] Something tells me you're a born diplomat.

Not really. I've just seen people try to cook with things that shouldn't go in food before.

[She taps the bowl on the table, trying to loosen the contents.] Now that's a bright ray of optimism.

Yeah, going out looks like a plan-

[And then he suddenly pauses. Peeeeeeeers. He looks bewildered for half a second, and then mildly startled for the remainder.]

...is that... part of a sand construct? [The resemblance is uncanny!]

Yes. Yes it is. I thought there was something poetic about feasting upon my enemies. [/dryly]

Man, that's disturbing. I mean, I've run into one or two people who do that, but still. Eating sand is a bit much! [Is he joking or not? It's difficult to tell.]

[He scratches under his chin idly.] With some power tools you could maybe make it into a two, but real food sounds like a way better idea.
