I wonder if the future they experienced was that of this timeline exactly, or if it was an offshoot. Another timeline entirely, perhaps, another Death City?
Tell me, travelers. Is there anything different now from the history of ten years later? I'm ever so curious.

Let's assume that all universes began as one. A single dimension. Something changed- but at the same time, something didn't. The universe split in two, then in two again as another change occurred. Or didn't. But not every change are there only two possible outcomes. With each change came more possibilities, more branches, exponentially creating something like a tree. Each branch a cluster of dimensions, each twig, each root, each vein in every leaf.
This is the multiverse.
So this is my question. What are some differences between Death City and your own worlds? Where, when, and how might the split have occurred? Hypothetically, of course.
