If you aren't sure about good or evil, you can just do what the job asks and not worry about either.

I suppose that is best.

What is your job in the patrol?

Simply patrolling, as far as I was aware.

Most of the time, people decide good and evil on based on what they feel.

What they feel.

Their opinions.

...you've just...opened a can of worms, I think.

Can of worms? I understand the meaning, but not the reason for why one would use such a phrase.

You ask a lot of questions...

You need not answer them if it is troublesome.

I understand.

Explain the concepts of good and evil to me, then.

Do you know the difference?

Between good and evil?

Yes.

When it comes to that, I think the ability and willingness to do the job is more important than having ideas about good and evil.

Why?

The Safety Patrol's purpose is to protect, correct? Animals have no knowledge of good or evil--at least, not in any abstract sense--yet they can still protect their young or their mates. What's important is the willingness to protect.

The willingness to protect over the willingness to kill.
