My apologies for remaining silent for so long, time seems to have slipped away from me. For those who knew him, Mr. John Adams has returned his talents to Philadelphia. It is an understandable turn of events, as the honorable Congress often needs a fire lit under them in order to proceed.

I'm not sure it's that type of problem, but very well. My dentures have always given me pain, but until this time I have had the laudanum to treat it.

I am perfectly fine. Mr. Adams is needed more urgently at home - I do not begrudge him his departure in the least. It was quite enjoyable to speak with him again, however briefly.
