[There’s nothing but the sound of munching for a good long minute before the voice of an annoyed adult female begins speaking.]

I don’t care what that [munch munch] Scythe guy said this has got to be some kind of joke. There’s no such place as Death City in Nevada or I’d [munch] know about it. I actually payed attention in History, you know ( Read more... )

I am. [There's smugness in that voice there. Yes, yes there is.]

Good; we need a forensics specialist in this place.

[Not that he isn't one himself, but Ema actually works on the field while he... doesn't. At all. 8|]

[His voice is serious and calm.]

Ah...so it seems BREW has brought another one...

That would be if BREW actually exists. I haven't seen proof of it yet.

I see. And, what will change if you find this proof or do not?

Regardless of what you believe to be the facts, you are still confined in this world. Should you leave Death City that truth will only become more clear. This is not the Earth you know, if in fact you come from that world.

... I guess I'd have no choice but to believe it then.

Not the earth I know? Besides the witches, weapons and Death City we're still in Nevada. Supposedly.

Mmm, I don't recall there being one, either.

As for science, at one time it was also a sort of "magic," and there will continue to be new discoveries in that field that were once thought to be "magic" forever. The two of them are intertwined. It doesn't mean one or the other doesn't exist.

[voice] investigative June 7 2010, 23:49:17 UTC
You're wrong. Science can be explained where magic can't. There's no science to witches or Meisters and Weapons.

You're wrong. Science can't be explained. Science is still only explained with terms that have been created, some as recently as the '80s. What makes those definitions correct? Because they're in a book? Because they're taught in school? Whatever foundation it is, it can be just as incorrect as skepticism when it comes to magic or esoteric subjects.

It has been proven through scientific study. Magic hasn't been, which makes them different. [She will argue for the ends of time, don't think she won't.]

... Besides, I've never seen real magic, have you? Stage tricks don't count, anyone with the proper skills and money can do that.
