[first, he'd been too shocked to do much more than tumble down and try to roll off of her as quickly as he could, but getting away didn't seem so much a priority as a necessity.]

[ Kanji's silent for a bit as he realizes that he didn't die/break a bone falling down those stairs. Or maybe he had passed out and this was some kind of weirdass dream in which he was being waved around by the girl who had shoved him down the stairs. Kinda. Or was that Poland?

[She nearly drops the needle on Poland. It TALKED. And...wait...it's voice sounds familiar...kind of like that boy who had been...standing at the top of the stairs with this crazy blond. Heather's hand tightens reflexively on the needle's eye.]
