To give a comparison, he and the Shibusen building are roughly the same size.

Yes. Though simple attacks will have some effect on him, meisters and weapons with resonance would have more attack power.

If we'd released the fact that Shibusen was defenseless - you would have had a lot more than one murderer to deal with.

It was one or multiple hundreds. That was what it came down to, and we can't take back our choice.

You did not merely keep quiet on your lack of defenses. You claimed to be organizing opposition against him. You claimed to want him dead, even as you restricted information to try and keep people cowering in fear. You claimed to be sending organized teams to try to defeat him.

And your real objective was to watch him grow.

You expect that now anyone should trust your goddamn orders or your fucking plan for his "defeat"?

You have shown nothing but incompetence or outright deception. Why should I take it on your word that these witches of yours are a greater threat? The only wrongdoing I have seen in this place is that wrought or aggravated by Shibusen.

I'm not sure how comforting all of this belated admitance is exactly... [Frowning deeply.] But given the circumstances and the danger levels we have little choice... People have already been dying, it has to stop.

I'm unpartnered, but I am experienced with war, as are the other exorcists from our world. While this is not ideal, I'm sure we will at least temporarily lend whatever strength we can to defeating this murderer.

[His eyes narrow a little at this.] While I do not want to come across as rude, I have to say that answer for keeping us in the dark is quite unsatisfactory. We have been brought here--intentionally or otherwise--to assist in this war. We are being denied information in such a manner than by the time you bring it to our attention we have all but no choice to fight for and with you. It goes beyond a simple matter of data protection--which, I will point out has its own set of worrying implications toward us as ahem guests--and instead moves troubling close to manipulation.

[He could sure as hell say more, but for now he instead lofts an eyebrow at the turning of the screw, blinking once before the surprise ebbs away.]
