Yes, I suppose it is. All I can offer in that sense is the reassurance that everyone experiences that when they first arrive here. It seems to make more sense with time, and other things make less sense unfortunately.

Have you been provided with some kind of information regarding Death City thus far, sir?

And as far as the fog is concerned... There still seems to be a bit of confusion surrounding that. A handful of residents here claim to know these conditions from their home world and so far the impression is that it shouldn't be taken lightly. From what I'm lead to understand, in their world this fog can be a signal for monsters known as Shadows to be lurking within so it is advised we stay on guard.

I've been given a few links. It's explained some things but at the same time it's challenged my suspension of disbelief. Which, I've gotta say, is preeeetty hard to do.

Monsters, great. Do you know anything more about these monsters? Or maybe at least who to talk to that does? I'm not liking the looks of this already.

I think that's a fairly common sensation too. We have a physician here who for a fair while believed this to all be a dream. He is somewhat more convinced that it's not any more though.

[Shaking his head.]

Unfortunately, all I know is what I've already said. I'm concerned we'll have more information soon though and it'll be at the expense of others' direct experiences.

When did you arrive here, and do you have a name I can call you by?

I'm not asking you to answer to me, I'm asking that we keep each other informed and up to date. Conversation, teamwork, all those kinds of things. You know, the things we discuss on a fairly regular basis that go in one ear and out the other with you.

If you have some better ideas for us to keep up with one another then by all means speak them.

Oh, err... Yes. My left eye has been acting strangely on and off since I got here. It reacts to particular things in my own world, but somehow it's different here.

From what I've heard so far, in the world Souji and his comrades are from, there are monsters in this fog that are called Shadows. I'm not sure if the ark movement I've been seeing has been these monsters or not but it is a little unsettling.

Staying inside seems to be what is being advised whenever possible. Are you alone? What's your name?

It..reacts to things? Oh! You mean sort of like with Watanuki how he can see people's souls to see if they are a Weapon or Meister?

Shadows....but, shadows aren't dangerous! They're just reflections from the sun that are cast on the ground underneath us.....

Oh! I'm Raenef. I'm just in the communal building, I heard it wasn't good to go outside so...but if I can help with finding some out in the fog, I want to.....

Mm, I'd heard a few people suggesting that. Back home it would react to akuma, but here... I'm still not sure triggers it, but I am starting to really wonder if it is like Watanuki's ability to view souls too.

In literal terms that's what a shadow is, but I think the term is meant differently here when in reference to these supposed monsters.

Pleased to meet you, Raenef, I'm Allen. I think I'm in a fairly similar position to you at the moment in terms of location and how best to make use of myself in this situation. There seems to be a lot of confusion around at the moment, it's hard to focus priorities of assistance.

That's not comforting at all. I've heard a few have already dashed out into the fog already. Are some kinds of search parties being formed, do you know?

Yes, there have been groups running outside to retrieve them, to different degrees of success. I have recently returned from one such endeavor.
