Yeah, I wish there was, too. I really hate how people just... keep droppin' off the face of the city jus' like that. I mean, it's gotta be great for them to finally come home but... well... it's just hard on the people they leave behind.

A wise man and a good friend once pointed out something to me when I found out that my brother was no longer here, and wondered the same thing about being cursed.

He reminded me that all the magic from each world stops existing here. Why should a curse be able to break this rule?

Well-- um, it doesn't need to be magic, you get what I mean? Like bad luck or somethin' like that. It's just somethin' that just keeps happenin' and I just don't want it to happen anymore.

I didn't mean magic. The best way to keep something like that from happening is to decided that it's not because of 'bad luck' or a 'curse'. Because then you give yourself the power to stop it.
