She fills up more of my hands when I pick her up. And her head's not quite as tiny compared to her ears anymore.

It's remarkable how quickly they grow when they're very young.

I didn't realize how fast it was, before. You don't notice unless you see them every day.

One would think that it would be more difficult to notice if one was constantly exposed to such a thing.

I don't think so. When I just see a cat, I can't tell if it's changed much unless it's something huge. But I get to hold Holly, and pet her, and touch her, and I can tell what's changing because I can feel the differences.

[ This absolutely deserves a whine of protest. She just got warm. She'll sit in his hold like a disgruntled cat, though, waiting for him to explain what on earth he thinks he's doing. ]
