[then after the communicator swings to the egg]
Oh! It is hatching! In that case all you really need to do is wait for the hatchling to come forth from the egg. There is nothing to be worried about, I should think, if it already has a crack in the shell. It shows that it is healthy and simply cannot wait until it can get out.
Pray do not worry, just let nature take its course.
[He then remembers his own hatching for a moment, and then quickly adds:]
However, I would advise for you to have some food for the hatchling ready. Everyone is hungry fresh out of the shell, so I would think it must be the same for a duckling as it would be for a dragonet.
