[Sollux is back. He's here and he's-- okay, as far as she can tell. She can't be sure because it's audio and text. But he's here and she's sure it's him because-- well, it sounds like him, even if there's something off about his voice. She'd been kind of anxious the past couple of days, but hearing this was relieving.]

While the cameras don't zoom in as close as Near would like them to, he can tell from a distance that Sollux is poking almost aimlessly at his communicator; not only that, but his lisp seems to be gone, too, even though Sollux doesn't look too different from the last time Near saw him.]

I have told Mello, Matt and Karkat about your return and your current location. It would be wise if you waited there for them.

[There's a "welcome back" hidden in there, if Sollux can find it. But on to other important matters:]

You could be. Depending on the kind of malfunction, you could be able to use some of the communicator's settings or none at all. But the point remains that you looked as though your communicator wasn't working.
