[Aradia is in the kitchen heating a pot of water to make tea (with extra honey), shuffling items around in her dessert cupboard to try and find tea cakes. Nepeta gave her a good recipe from their last tea date, so she always kept some cakes around for when friends visit. Sollux is a very special case - Aradia took the time to research more cakes to suit his tastes for their special jams.]
[ He knocks before he lets himself in, simple announcement of his arrival. Allowances taken for granted, perhaps, but he would never waltz into any one else's hive like that. When moirails agreed to meet, they damn well met.
Sollux keeps his eyes down as he enters, gaze flitting about restlessly. Gathering wits, perhaps, or the right words to say. Always the most difficult task when it came to jams like these. ]
Hi. [Aradia smiles softly, regarding their exchange on the network. She pulls two mugs and two plates from the cupboard for their tea and cakes, setting the cakes on the living room table.]
The tea will be a minute. It's a good thing I bought more honey today!
[ Honey has always made him uneasy, always made him a little leery. It's only the knowledge that Death City knows nothing of mind honey and it's effects that allows him to consider enjoying it.
There was irony in this, somewhere, he just knew it. ]
No hurry. I mean, not like you had to do anything. On my behalf or anything.
[ Muttered, as he moves to sit down, half-distractedly. ]
[Even if Aradia wanted to, she couldn't find anything like the mind honey. She knows that Sollux is wary of it, but really - honey is delicious, especially when it isn't the kind that'll send him into a psiionic rage. Aradia returns to the kitchen for silverware so they may eat properly. Like average human beings.]
[ He barely pays the spongy confectioneries much mind, attention fixating on the utensils in her hand before shifting up to her face. This was so stupidly difficult he couldn't even begin to complain about how difficult it was. Conundrum. ]
Nothing to talk about. I'm an idiot. End of thtory.
