Rufus and I already made the decision to go to Switzerland.

Very well. I shouldn't have to tell you this, but do remember to be careful as this is an unprecedented crisis and your companions on this mission may succumb to the madness.

[Just a friendly warning, since he's read ample on the Madness Wavelength and it's apparent that things can get very ugly no matter how experienced Asch is.]

Yes, I know. In terms of the Madness Wavelength, I think the both of us should be fine. But I do plan on taking extra precautions to make sure that at least Rufus is safe.

[he doesn't really notice that slip out; it should hint at a couple of things, really. that he really does care for Rufus enough to pretty much put his life before his own... and he would rather not get maimed by the Turks.]

Extra precautions, hmm? For his sake and yours, I'd rather hope that some of these precautions involve your own safety should the both of you come under fire.

[Unspoken: If your resonance should break, that may well spell doom for the both of you.]

So what are you talking about wanting to do?

(ooc: it is written in the font.)

I see that you still know your alphabet. Impressive, Luke. [But it's less that and more towards the fact that overriding the system isn't too easy.]

Nothing much as it stands, but if I understand the situation correctly, Death City may come under attack while the most experienced pairs are dispatched to Europe. I would recommend seeking a temporary partner at the very least to guard against a possible Madness Wavelength attack.

Well... just because I live here right now doesn't mean I will be here forever, I need to remember things from home too.

I have someone who I have worked with before, I will get a hold of him and find out if he is okay with working together.

Excellent work, Luke. I am almost ashamed to note that I may be behind you for once, but an old man has to rest every now and then.

[Except he's not unless Luke's seeking a permanent partnership.]

I was getting use to the voice and video system! Boo!

To answer your question, Colonel, I'm not quite sure what to think. I would go help but I'm powerless right now. Besides, I don't even have real training here yet.

...Looks like I don't have much of a choice.

It's never too late to learn, especially when you have a few decades ahead of you yet. As for that, I suspect that our enemies will not be so kind as to confine their attack to one region. That is why I would like to propose that we train so that we'll be more prepared in the event that this city is attacked.

Attack Death City while most of the experienced fighters go out to the other countries...sounds like something they would do.

Huh? You mean the both of us be temporary partners?

It's been done before, and I have little reason to believe that they would be so courteous as to send us an advance warning. I have read that even a temporary partnership can ward off the effects of the Madness Wavelength and as I've mentioned, it's useful to know who can you call upon in a crisis.

Oh, is this like some kind of logic game?

Hmm... D-4

Possibly. It would appear that you've a '4' on your hands now, sir. I wonder what could that mean?

[video] dragon_radiance September 13 2011, 08:28:09 UTC
I honestly don't know. Is it a literal 4 or four of something?

[video] curtissy September 13 2011, 08:31:18 UTC
It's just an ordinary and literal 4 for now. Of course, there are cultures that would beg to differ on that matter but that's neither here nor there.

[Hm. Fine, let's play.]

A-1.

A letter associated with achievement and an almost overrated position do lend themselves to a 2. That being said, you are Itou Kamotaro, correct?

Or, feasibly, the first choice in the list provided. [If you could hear someone fix their eyeglasses, that would be the feel.]

Yes, that's correct. I'm afraid you have the advantage of me. [polite as always.]

[Hm.] A-5.

My apologies, Mr. Kamotaro. I was merely noting that some apply symbols in their every day lives even on something as simple as a game. So as to not have the upper hand, I shall offer my name in turn: Jade Curtiss. A pleasure, though the square you have just named would beg to differ if it was anything more alive than a smoking crater.
