[The video starts, showing Hades in all his dark glory. Face like a dead woman, feathers, fur, horns, enough ink-black hair to make Rapunzel envious, … The usual deal. However, there is one thing vastly different from his usual appearance.

For once the god is wearing something.]

An interesting claim to make.

I wonder if any other Weapon can make such a claim.

[There is a pause as Hades tries to say that they can't under his breath and is forcefully stopped short by his inability to lie sending several sharp spikes of pain through his mind. After some seconds he tries to say that others can and is cut off in the same manner again.

Turning back towards Matsunaga, he replies calmly.]

One other can.

My claim is merely the truth.

My Weapon form seems to be difficult to handle for most simple fighters.

I take it that your weapon form is an unusual one then? What is it?

Balls and a chain, named after the falling bone fragments of a star.

[It's a meteor hammer.]

[ He just sort of eyes this post for a long time. This guy looks... strange.

But a dancer? Kurt's no pro but he can rock out to a rhythm and strike a pose. And he's not sure about the roughness or the wands part, or in fact about any of this, but it can't hurt, can it? He'll need a new partner at some point. ]

I'm sort of a dancer. I don't know about the rest of those requirements, though.

[Hey, he's not worse than an adult troll. ....much. <.< ]

What I seek is somebody who can move and won't let their fear get the better of them. The rest can be taught.

[ He shrugs. ] Depending on the situation, being afraid is pretty much inevitable.

[ But is he really brave enough for something intense like that Arizona mission? That has to be what Hades is talking about. He'd done pretty well until he got knocked out, the only truly paralyzing fear came right after the fight. The aftermath.

He looks away, considering. Finally, a few seconds later: ] I'm not a coward, though. I try not to let fear paralyze me.

True bravery is feeling fear and yet doing what one must, as it is being said.

...I shall not blame you either way. Being afraid is normal for things like you. Fearing death means that you are alive.

[Which is his way of saying 'then let's try and no hard feelings if it doesn't work'. He doesn't have exactly high expectations of this experiment.]

Most would feel honored that their sacrifice was accepted. [Speaking of which, he gets a lot more of those here than he did in his own world.]
