Morning Training happens every day in the city, and most days get handwaved. Once a month a log goes up to play out interactions and teaching. It happens from 6 am to 9 am, and this time it's happening December 31st, in-game.

[Emil's been looking to figure out his meister ability today, but getting some practice in is always a good idea.]

[ Little girl approaches. She doesn't look like an intermediate, does she? ]

[Once you've seen a little girl destroy things with a giant axe, nothing is surprising. The ears catch his attention, but he doesn't say anything about it because that's really just a waste of time.

He's interesting in seeing what she wants, though. As far as he remembers they've never talked.]

I haven't actually had a sparring partner here before. Do I just...ask people?

[A shrug.]

So. What can you do?

Hand to hand combat, mostly! And then I need practice with this...

[ She pulls out a replica of her partner's Weapon form, a meteor hammer attached to some headphones. ]

Either one works! I just need to get back in shape.

[He's never seen something like that before.]

Huh. What's that thing supposed to do?

[ She puts it on and swings it at a nearby target. It leaves a dent on the very edge. ]

That! But I'm still not good, because I can't hit the center of the target every time.

Then what are you going to do with it?

I don't....know. Let's stick to hand to hand.

[chaos_squirrel]

[It's not his specialty, but hey. He's had to improvise before.]

All right. Show me what you can do!

[memorymodus]

[ She takes a fighter's stance easily, steadying herself. ]

Okay!

[ Starting easy with a few punches. ]

[Emil blocks them and throws a strike of his own. It's not especially skilled, since he's more used to sword work, but he can do this much pretty easily.]

[ She dodges, but it's rusty and her shoulder gets clipped. If she notices, she doesn't show it in her expression. Actually, she seems to be laughing about it. ]

[Enjoying the fight, hm? Well, he knows more than a few people like that--himself included. He follows that up with something vaguely calculated to be harder to dodge, to see how she reacts.]
