And here Kanda thought he could get out of attending this event if he just stayed far enough away. No, life had to deal him a 'hurry up and be social' card and drop one of the more annoying people he'd met square in his way. Said annoying person was also the obnoxiously social type, who seemed bent on getting him to loosen up or something.

Yuuri had been heading to the festival when he'd run into Kanda. While he knew that his friend would want nothing to do with it, the young Maou hadn't given him much choice. So he'd taken Kanda by the arm and had basically dragged him to it.

"Eh? Oh! Sorry," Yuuri said as he floundered lightly and released Kanda's arm. They were at the festival by now anyway, and now that they were here, he was sure that Kanda would wind up having a little fun. Glancing back to his friend, the smile on his face was bright, "What would you like to do first?

He was more than willing to do whatever Kanda wanted, so long as it wasn't leave, but Yuuri was happy to pick anything if his friend didn't know what to do.

"Go home." Kanda scowls and instantly tries to slink away. He doesn't like people at the best of times-- he sure as hell didn't wanna be around a large crowd of them. "This is stupid."

"Go home? But we only just got here!" Yuuri's bright smile cancelled out Kanda's scowl. When the other boy tried to slink away, the young Maou caught sight of the bonfire just off in the distance. "Eeeh! Let's go see what's over there!"

He was much the same as an excited child as he reached out to snag Kanda's hand and tugged for his friend to follow.

Kanda sputters as he's practically dragged along, but can tell a losing fight when he hears one. Still, he has to make the effort. "That's the whole point! I don't wanna be here, stupid!"

In Yuuri's mind, everyone would want to be here to have fun, just some were too proud to say it. Whether that was true or not didn't matter to the young Maou since he believed that even if someone was initially hesitant, that they'd eventually find themselves having fun. That was what he hoped anyway.

"Eeeh? I'm sure that you'll change your mind after," Yuuri cheerfully said before his attention was taken by the hot chocolate stall near the bonfire. "We should get one!"

"You don't like hot chocolate?" Now that caught Yuuri's attention, and he stopped dead in his tracks as he peered back to regard Kanda. "How come?"

He thought that everyone liked hot chocolates! What's not to like?

"Too sweet?" Yuuri asked. Well he supposed that some of it was sweet sometimes. Tilting his head to one side, he said, "Maybe it's just the ones that you've tried? I've had some that have been a bit more bitter in flavour."

"Oh," Yuuri sounded with a confused blink. Who didn't like sweets? Although he guessed that there might have been some people, he just never thought that he'd meet one. He still wanted one though, and so he continued on to stand in line.

Waiting for it to move, the young Maou couldn't stop his curiosity as he asked, "So what do you like to do normally?"

"...Normally?" Kanda doesn't mind standing nearby... it seems as if his glare will keep the crowds at least a few feet away. "Tch. What's there to know? It's not much different now."

He continued to move up the line while Kanda stood off to the side and thought over his question. Yuuri was genuinely interested to see what the Meister liked, and he wasn't in the least bit intimidated by the glare.

When the answer was given, Yuuri blinked. "It isn't?" That hadn't been much, and he quietly thanked the kind lady who gave him the free hot chocolate. Moving back over to Kanda, his expression brightened as he suggested, "How about we go and see if there's an udon stand here then?"

"...Sure." Oh, udon is good. He's okay with that. "...It really isn't different. Never really had time to do much more than train, eat, meditate and sleep."

In fact, he has so much extra time now that he just doesn't know what to do with himself. He finds himself drifting, a lot.

Blowing against his hot chocolate, Yuuri took a sip moments before Kanda agreed to his suggestion. Swallowing his mouthful, he glanced up at the other man with a large grin. "Great!" There had to be one around somewhere, he thought as he began heading off again.

"So what is your world like?" Yuuri found himself asking while they begun their search.
